This is an R+19 district that Petronas is either going to squeak by in or lose outright. Either way, the narrative tea leaves that the MSM will latch on to is that "Trump is losing steam, even in the reddest district in Florida." Which will be bullsh*t. The real narrative revolves around the Republicans nominated a candidate that just lays there on the ground, immobile, like Rescuci-Annie the CPR dummy that first responders practice on.

You know, in a special election, you're only going to get 10% turnout or so. If the Dems are as organized and motivated (and they are) while the Republican candidate is a focking turd who doesn't try, the Dems can win. This feels like a slow motion disaster. Sleepwalking and taking sh*t for granted is not a viable strategy. I really think the Dems have a good shot at stealing this seat. They must think so too because they are running a great and well funded campaign. And it'll be all Trump's fault. Not for DOGE or MAGA ... but for sticking his nose in and getting this bum Jimmy Petronas to run. He sucked all the oxygen out of the GOP nomination by endorsing a lump. If he didn't endorse anyone, this would be a layup because left to our own, we would have found someone solid and with a pulse. And I'd be hearing that person on local talk radio, ads on the rock stations next to Voldemort ads, a campaign flyer or two in the mail and a phone call targeting registered Republicans reminding me/us to vote April 1st.

I don't have the money and besides that, I've said enough here over the years to sink any campaign. its not like there isn't a lack of enthusiasm in the district. We had ten other people run in the primary. https://ballotpedia.org/Florida's_1st_Congressional_District_special_election,_2025 You can see them in the debate video I posted earlier where Petronas literally phoned it in. Petronas stood out because he had Trump's endorsement and that was all he needed for the primary. None of the others could separate themselves from the pack to take him on. Now we're riding this dead horse. Hopefully Trump's endorsement is all he needs for the general election too. His campaign website has a picture of himself with Trump, a biography about himself and his family, a banner of endorsements, and a place to donate. https://joinjimmy.com/ If you go looking his priorities or his take on the pressing issues of the day, you won't find any.

That is exactly what I'm doing and for these exact reasons. I'm voting for the parrot in the Monty Python skit. I hate this guy. The House is in a razor thin majority. His country needs him, his president needs him, the House speaker needs him. The people who live here could use somebody with a pulse for constituent services. And this dude... he's AWOL. He doesn't focking care. He's a lump.

This'll test that. There is no reason for any swing voter to go for Petronis. He's not making a case for us, let alone them. I listen to classic rock radio in the car on the commute to and from work.... not a single Petronis ad, yet Voldemort is all over it. I'm a registered Republican, this is an unusual April election due to a vacancy with one thing on the ballot, so the turnout is going to be low. A competently run campaign like the one Voldemort is running should be able to get its people out. Petronis or the party or somebody should be be contacting me encouraging me to vote. Nothing. This election is going to be a lot closer than it should be and it would not surprise me in the Dems steal this seat for this term of Congress. I've seen as much of Jimmy Petronis as I have of Jimmy Hoffa. The dude's a danger of blowing this.

No. I didn't check his facts but have every reason to presume they are accurate. Its his connecting the dots ... these Jews are all pulling in unison with whatever direction the allies of their political leanings pull them in: MAGA Republican, establishment Republican, Establishment Dem, Marxist, gender nonconforming freakzoid. They do not appear to me to be working in unison with other Jews outside of the same D or R silos that the rest of us are working with. I like David Lee Roth's signing and Jerry Seinfelds comedy. I'll join hands with Jewish MAGA Republican like Ben Shapiro or Dennis Prager or the libsoftiktok lady as my brothers and sister. Meanwhile, Jennifer Rubin and Bill Kritsol can go fock off, not because they're Jewish, but because they're neocon idiots. Jewish Democrats come in the same various flavors as everyone else, from Bernie Sanders to Adam Shiff to Joe Liebermann. George Soros does fit Cdub's Jewish stereotype of an evil bajillionaire behind the scenes manipulator because he really and truly is an evil bajillionaire behind the scenes manipulator. Ditto Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein. I'll be damned, sometimes the shoe fits. I don't connect them as an evil cabal because they're Jewish. I connect them as an evil cabal because they're Democrats where their Jewishness melts in and mixes with the other evil Democrats of various racial and religious backgrounds. If Jerry Seinfeld, George Soros, Ben Shapiro, Kyle Broflovski, Bernie Sanders, Adam Sandler, Benjamin Netanyahu, Harvey Weinstein, Larry, Curley, Moe, and you are all secretly working incahoots with one another, congrats, you guys have got me totally fooled. -

Also about the word 'trout,' and I picked this up from 5 Points, turning a yellow 't' green and also testing/eliminating the chance of a second 't' are both worthy outcomes for guessing that word. That deuce I got earlier in the week also came directly from tweaking my strategy to hunting for greens when I sense it would be more helpful. That was a blind squirrel finding a nut. I'd really underappreciated how helpful upgrading a yellow to a green is, and buying a lottery ticket that hits every so often. It's not a guess I would have made using my old strategy; there were likely upwards of two dozen possibilities and so I wouldn't have felt confident enough to try.

Maybe under normal circumstances I'd consider it. Once somebody is an incumbent, they're in there forever, and I don't want to be saddled with having Jimmy Petronis as my Congressman for as long as he wants to stay. Give the seat to the Dem this time to keep Petronis out, and go with a GOP candidate that actually wants to serve next time. No. I can't do that. Mike Johnson is already dealing with a miniscule majority. The last thing he or Trump needs is another Democrat to fock things up. But yeah, if the GOP had a safe 20 seat majority, I would not vote for Petronis. Gimme the Democrat and we'll try again in two years when a GOP candidate I actually want to vote for arrives. Trump saddled us with this guy and I'm not happy about it.
