'Defund the police' mecca of Minneapolis overrun with violence, ‘failed leadership'

🚨 Maggie Gyllenhaal’s Antisemetic daughter Ramona Sarsgaard arrested during Columbia protests
Voltaire replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
We're supposed to be shocked that an actress has a leftoid daughter? Isn't entitled leftoidism a given since it runs rampant in that profession? Color me shocked when a Hollywood celebrity's kid joins the Army or wears a MAGA hat or goes to a lightly regarded public university with open admissions policy. -

You just don't get it. I'll try one more time. Its not about his opinion being right or wrong. We all have spent our lifetimes witnessing the vast body of evidence that the guy knows what he's talking about better than most anyone. These actions are about what's best for US workers, not corporate globalist US bajillionaires who we've all seen gladly export or offshore jobs whenever they sense it'll make them a buck or two.

You bring up a good point. I ask myself why the concept you bring up of Biden doing it made me feel reviled and disgusted, whereas when Trump did it, I saw the humor in it immediately. The best I could come up with is that there needs to be an underlying sense of humor there, which is completely absent in the person of Joe Biden, who takes himself too seriously. Among Dem politicians, Al Franken could have gotten away with it. He lost his seat because he can't simulate grabbing t*ts, but that's a Dem problem for Dems to figure out.

He retweeted a photoshopped image of himself as pope because he has a sense of humor and enjoys watching the sh*tbags who hate him heads' explode. Which, I agree, is greatly entertaining.

EU Parlimentary Elections and a Surprise out Macron's France
Voltaire posted a topic in The Geek Club
The "Far Right," be scary "quotes" when referring to them because they are bad, bad, horrible, are kicking the asses of the corporate globalist jet-set vampire elites across the continent. So congrats Europe. You're finally looking out for yourselves rather than being led around like sheep. Meanwhile, Macron had a surprise in France. Two days after having to keep a straight face while sitting inches away from a guy with poop in his pants for an hour, his party got whooped in EU elections. He called for snap elections, looking to reaffirm its mandate to govern. Something he must suspect he is unlikely to receive. So the scary "far right" lady may be French Prime Minister soon. Good Times. Congrats, again Europe. -
The point, which seems to escape you, is not that Buffett isn't a genius money manager that has hit again and again over a lifetime in investments. He's proven himself. Its that when he comes to trade, his record is rats' ass as to concern to the American worker as is aparently yours. Oh, the jobs went, who cares, they aren't coming back, fock 'em. Somebody else's problem, what's my portfolio look like? And both parties played that game. Then Trump came along and took the concerns of labor seriously and won all the swing states. He's been talking about this very thing since the 80s and is even risking his presidency on an economic gamble to restore these jobs. This is also JD Vance's native language, whereas people like you and Kamala don't care. I would welcome the Democrats to ahead and sell their whatever / who care's / rats ass /"jobs aren't coming back so don't bother trying" in the upper Midwest again in 2028. I think it's a great message for them to embrace. They can package it with DEI, trannies in the girls room, open borders, banning oil production, importing gang bangers as campaign issues, and whoever runs in 2028 for the GOP is a homophobic, sexist, racist threat to democracy that's worse than Hitler and Trump combined again.
-
Buffett has spent a lifetime proving that he knows how to make money but he and the establishment wing of both political parties, have never shown any regard for American workers nor the communities affected by plant closures. That's a big reason why Trump won vast majorities of the blue collar vote, and through them, all the swing states in 2024. Good luck winning those voters back by telling them they should support open borders that drive down wages and squeeze local budgets, men in girl's sports, and turn over their jobs to 50 cent an hour workers in third world countries in order to enable people who push paperwork and don't make anything to save $1 when they go shopping for artificial dog poop.
-
I wonder how many factories Buffett has closed then relocated overseas.
-
Reagan/O'Neill.... even Clinton / Gingrich for that matter.... is a bygone era. We've seen both parties over our lifetimes playing one upsmanship on each other to get us to this point. And Biden was significantly worse in this respect than Trump 2.0 has been. I think the biggest thing you have to hang that accusation on is that terrorist plane that departed somewhere around the moment that Judge Boasberg was in the process of appointing himself President of the United States but hadn't yet written it down.
-
You picked the wrong issue for an example. Clearly you haven't bothered to ask yourself why the border is secure now, when it wasn't before, despite that law nor any other passing since it was first proposed. I'll tell you what happened. It should be crystal clear. Biden supports open borders. When Biden wanted to shift gears, it was not to secure the border, but because it was a losing electoral issue for him and so he went about grandstanding to tell his open border base blame the GOP when he marginally wanted to shift his border policy.
-
Fair enough. We have a situation now where both sides are voting strictly along party lines and the party out of power uses every vestige of power they have remaining to them to obstruct and block the majority. What you deliberately fail to notice is that unlike Biden, Trump follows all restrictions imposed on him by that minority and also doesn't try to put his opponents in jail or debank, censor, or deplatform them.

N-word at the Playground Recorded by a Pedo
Voltaire replied to avoiding injuries's topic in The Geek Club
For the record, teaching in Michigan at a charter school that was almost entirely black kids (with unconventional/unpronounceable first names) I heard the N-Bomb dropped exactly zero times. Coming to the Florida panhandle, the black kids use it on themselves and each other all the time. Coming here, I have to admire how much time effort must have been put into successfully reducing that to zero by the school administration in Michigan. -
Every single Democrat in the Senate disagrees with you but they use it anyway since the GOP didn't discard it.
-
Meanwhile Texas Democrats seek toa state holiday to honor Buffalo Bill, the first transgender character to appear in a Hollywood blockbuster.

Here: Filibusters: Why Democrats want to change Senate rules (cnn.com) Wonder what Schumer thinks of the filibuster now. It's the only reason legislation isn't being slammed down the Dems throats at the same pace as the executive order are. And even the big beautiful bill only affects matters of tax and spending. You still get to bloc voter ID laws, unrequested mail in ballots, men in the girls room and other Democrat priorities.
-
Stop being intentionally obtuse. Everybody else knows exactly what's going on because we don't live under rocks. They are using the very same Senate rule they -"they" meaning every single one of the Senate Dems, since both objectors are now out of office - to obstruct the Trump agenda that they -again every single one of them- tried to do away with when they were in the majority. It's only by the good graces of the faux alleged dictatorship that the GOP didn't turn the tables on them once they took over the Senate. Thank your tranny god that there are still enough Republican Senators around to willing to keep the filibuster around, because we know there are now exactly ZERO Democrat Senators around who would do the same were the shoe on the other foot.
-
The fillibuster was almost never used during the Roosevelt administration, the one time you saw it implemented was in the 1939 (Roosevelt Era) movie "Mr. Smith goes to Washington." Nowadays, it's a mandatory part of any legislation. Something I reminded you ten seconds ago, that the Democrats tried to eliminate when they were in office and - would be biting them in the ass bigtime now if they had gotten away with. And they're likely to try to do so again the moment they gain a trifecta majority now that Sinema and Manchin are no long a part of their Senate delegation to reign them in. The true dictators. Anyway, the only reason the Republicans aren't foisting all this down the Dums throat as legislation is that they are restraining themselves from doin what the Dems tried very hard to do when they were in office. In time, hopefully Trump's / Johnson's "Big Beautiful Bill" solves these hangups for you.
-
Things'd be a lot easier if the Senate Dems could just be rolled over. But, of course, they're not. Just a few years ago, countable on one hand, Dumocrats were trying hard to get rid of the filibuster. It was two holdouts.... Sinema and Manchin that kept them in check. Nowadays, they must be ecstatic, not only that they failed, but also that the Republicans aren't doing to them what they tried to do to the GOP minority. Republicans -as usual - are far more civil and willing to put up with their obstruction in the minority than the Dems were. If you recall, they had plenty of other nefarious plans: packing the courts, eliminating the electoral college... Further, you have to wonder if the Dems'll try again the next time they, inevitably, gain control of the Senate again now that Sinema and Manchin are gone. Notice how they only shed crocodile tears crying and shrieking about precedent when it suits them. It takes incredible patience putting up with all their filibustering and activist judge/prosecution lawfare but Trump and the GOP only grumble. They comply. They also don't put Biden officials in prison or debank them. Yet here comes the "Trump as dictator" talk. Yeah, a dictator who loosens the powers of his government and complies with every ridiculous and dubious impediment his opponents throw in front of him. Get real.

Pam Bondi claims Trump-instigated fentanyl seizures have saved 258 million American lives
Voltaire replied to Tebok's topic in The Geek Club
They may well have seized 258 million fatal doses of fentanyl. Now that the cartels don't run the border anymore, who knows how much they got. I think finding 258 million people eager to take one dose each and preventing that from happening would be a challenge. My wife and kids don't want ours, so that would have free up five doses for a family in need.
