Here I've been assuming he's Gutterboy because the posting style has been indistinguishable but Gutterboy has always owned his posts and has no history of denying that he is whatever the latest alias he uses before. Let me self-diagnose because he is right, I did notice on Monday something very off with my mental state. This was not a typical Monday. I was beaming, happy, had an extra pep in my step. I couldn't wait to talk to my colleagues of all the wonderful things that had happened over the weekend. Mondays have no business being so cheery and wonderful, but this past one was. Since then, I'm just all sunny and happy all the time. Each day I come home and check the news to find that everything in the world is getting better and better. Wow, another royal flush. I've been dealt a royal flush eight straight days. Amazing. Will I be disappointed if I only get a Full House or four of a kind tomorrow? Life is supposed to be a roller coaster of ups and downs but I've never been this high before nor for this long. I don't tune in because there are only so many hours in a day that I can dedicate to this stuff anymore but judging by Rusty's posts, maybe I should. She's certainly making his mental breakdown more intense, entertaining and hilarious; you'd have to think that hers are probably just as juicy. I don't need the schadenfreude so much as the wins, because I'm already at maximum satisfaction and happiness anyway. Last week many of the intractable problems the country has been dealing with melted away and its advocates are routed and in full retreat. Its such a good feeling for the future of the country going forward, everything will be improving. But the schadenfreude is such a nice bow because over here we have the vanquished a$$hole who voted in and caused all the problems in the first place and they are screaming like banshees, watching helplessly in defeat as their wicked life's work gets unwoven out of the fabric of the country. I'd like to see Pax Romana for the remaining 30 or so years of my life but I know politics is cyclical and shItbags like Rusty will get another bite at the apple to either re-spread their cancer or come to their senses every two years. In the meantime, the country is improving by the hour and hopefully put in a place with a new baseline of what norms and beliefs will be standard moving forward with not just executive orders but legislative and judicial wins.

Trump is getting sh!t done by taking on deeply seeded decades-old problems and not settling for half measures to placate the sh*tbags who are just going to scream anyway. He's going to need legislative and judicial wins along the way to really make these changes stick permanently. This is just what 2025 needs and by the time he's done, he's on a trajectory to be the most significant president of our lifetime.

While I agree with him that birthright citizenship is foolish, I read the 14th amendment the same way that you do. Ignoring the words of the Constitution or any laws has been the province of liberal judges and justices; they just find the results they want and patch it over with creative interpretations. To me it'd take a Constitutional Amendment and the Dems will never allow that. Maybe with a court decision in hand, he can beat the Dems over the head with the issue going forward. Trump is doing things that haven't been done before because he's fed up with the establishment of both parties and has been forced to endure legal hell in order to get to this point. So far he's talking 80/20 issues the hardest. He's more effective this time because he's been through the process once already and knows where to look, who's reliable, and who's a snake. If he gets too far over his skis, his coalition will break down since the number of people he can afford to lose in either house of Congress can be counted on one hand. It was the Democrats that put Trump on trial over trivial things namy times over. They would have expanded and stacked the Supreme Court and made no ID / mail-in voting the law of the land if they could have overcome the filibuster... and it was only Manchin and Sinema that prevented them from doing so.... both are gone. Now, they're going to reacquaint themselves with a love the filibuster and the Republicans are not doing to them what now 100% of what's left of them from last time wanted to do to the Republicans.

It's not a Biden EO that TikTok is dealing with, this is a full-on law that passed Congress and got that house plant occupying the presidency's signature. Trump has 90 days to force TiKTok to make a deal that gets it sold or he shuts it down. Its situations like this when he has insane leverage that he enjoys negotiating. He's told us that he'll be making pretty harsh demands of TIKTok if they want to stay in business in the US. If they don't meet those demands or negotiations break down, he'll shut them down. So, we'll see. We're at most 80 days away from finding out how this is resolved.
