    SNAP

I don't think anyone disagrees with your claim about white people getting more SNAP benefits because everyone realizes white people are the largest ethnic group in the country. Maybe the disagreement is around if they get more or less per capita than other groups, in which case I it seems self evident that they get less. I typed this into Google AI : what is the racial makeup of SNAP beneficiary recipients and contrast this with the racial makeup of the country as a whole. and this is the result I got: ------ While a plurality of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients are White, racial and ethnic minorities are disproportionately represented compared to their share of the U.S. population. This disparity reflects broader inequities in poverty and food insecurity across the country. Racial makeup of SNAP recipients According to the latest USDA data from fiscal year 2023, the breakdown of SNAP recipients is: White: Over 35% of participants Black/African American: Nearly 26% of participants Hispanic: Nearly 16% of participants Asian: 4% of participants Native American: Over 1% of participants It is worth noting that a significant share of SNAP participants, about 17%, are categorized as "race unknown". Racial makeup of the U.S. population In contrast, here is the racial makeup of the total U.S. population, based on 2023 estimates: White (non-Hispanic): 58% of the population Hispanic: 20% of the population Black/African American: 13% of the population Asian: 6% of the population Other/Multiracial: 3% of the population Key contrasts and disparities Comparing the two breakdowns highlights clear disparities in the representation of different racial and ethnic groups on SNAP. Black Americans are significantly overrepresented. They make up almost 26% of SNAP recipients, which is about double their 13% share of the U.S. population. Hispanic Americans are also overrepresented. They constitute nearly 16% of SNAP recipients, a figure notably higher than their 13% share of the adult population in 2020 (when using Census data). White Americans are underrepresented. While they account for the largest share of total SNAP beneficiaries, their participation rate is lower than their share of the overall U.S. population. Asian Americans have a proportional or slightly lower representation. Their share of SNAP participation is generally in line with or slightly lower than their share of the total population, according to some analyses. These disparities are tied to larger socioeconomic factors. In 2021, food insecurity rates for Black and Hispanic households were more than double the rate for White households, and these inequities reflect structural barriers related to systemic racism, discrimination, and poverty.
  2. thegeneral and I agreed to the $1000 to $100 bet. If he wins, I will donate $1000 to the homeless and/or animal shelter charity of his choice. If I win, I will put the $100 to taking my family out to dinner. It's also expanded not just to Trump running again, but it also includes Trump making way and leaving office with a new president getting inaugurated in January 2029.
  3. There is no chance whatsover. Look, I can come up with $1000 if you put up the $100.
  4. It is free money, but the problem here is that If I accepted this bet, I'd do so by entering it in bad faith since I would not be able to cover it.
  5. I'll do it for $100 to $2 or $1000 to $100 edit nevermind fock off
  6. I'm three years removed from the Chinese government destroying everything I worked for all my life and so I couldn't pay you if I lost in order to to gain a couple of family nights out to eat and also I don't know that I could trust you to pay up anyway.
  7. Nevermind. I presumed it was a typo.
  8. You're offering to bet on this? Yeah, I'll take that up.

Maybe Cards deserve better, their division is hell.
  10. No. We all KNOW he isn't. There is a 0.0000000000000000000000% chance he is running (rounded up). it's because its illegal. Those of us paying attention know that Trump never, not one time, has ever crossed a court decision. We do see that je pushed the limits, he maliciously complies, he appeals, but in the end, if they slap him down, he always always follows the courts. That's why Uganda Eswatini Liberia Dad hasn't been deported yet and why the border wall funding/construction was held up for as long as it was. Running for a third term is such a clear violation of the Constitution that it not even worth thinking about. You guys are absurd. This whole thing is an artificial leftoid generated nightmare that only exists because they all live in an information silo where they smell each others farts all day. The reason Trump plays along with it is because trolling them and watching them hyperventilate humors him. I do believe that he would run if the Constitution allowed it. He likes the job, he likes the challenge, he likes the battles, and he wants to shepherd his reforms through to the end.

The rankings go from who is most likely to put a beatdown on your ass, to which team is least likely to pull out a win. For me it's not, "whose got a chance to be there at the end." Indy with their incredibly soft schedule wins that competition in a heartbeat, meaning the AFC bye and #1 seed looks likely to go there. For me, I am just waiting for them to prove it against somebody worth a d@mn. San Diego is good and maybe Denver but not really. If Indy can beat KC I'll show more love, but they don't exactly have many opportunities to play against good teams this year. SF would have been a challenge... alas...

    NFL Power Rankings Week 9

Of the top twelve, the Broncos 6-2 record is to me the most fake and is the team most likely to collapse (maybe New England). They are 1-2 against top teams which includes coming from out of nowhere to beat Philly, but otherwise have beat some really bad teams. In the LAC game, LA got 29 first downs that day, Denver 9, and the Chargers outgained the Broncos 376-265. Meanwhile both New York teams could have put them away but credit Denver, they did not allow it to happen.
  13. You're right, I don't understand in the slightest. Well to congrats Chuck then. What victory he accomplished with this pwnage?
  14. Oh, yes. This is all real. Fear Trump. Just because Trump follows every single court ruling, every single time, and the constitution is clear on this don't believe it. Rachel Maddow and other hyperventilating fruitcakes are right on everything. Trump is not just trolling gullible retards because its fun to watch their tiny non-functional brains explode. He really means it. Trump really is running in 2028. He'll be taking on a rested and rejuvenated Biden who everyone sorely misses. Before that happens, Geraldo will discover Jimmy Hoffa's grave and open it to reveal Sasquatch which is more evidence that the Egyptian pyramids were built by Nazi aliens as a wine cellar.

The whole of the top 12 is closer than they look. A loss to a team like Carolina would be punished but Carolina isn't the doormat they were last year. Also, the way a team loses. If you outgain the other team 400-220 yards and time of possession is 40-to-20, and the officiating reminds everyone of the Seattle-Pittsburgh Super Bowl, you'll look like the better team. But generally speaking, the way I do it anyway, you do have to beat the bad-to-mid teams.
  16. Navy Federal Union, where I bank (I was Army not Navy, but I bank with their credit union) is offering 0% loans to affected member. Hopefully other banks/credit unions follow suit for affected people.
  17. I don't know if anyone knows how that feels. Has it ever happened before? Maybe with Biden, but I can't think of anything since they were on the same page working hand in glove for the most part...

If you're getting your player back, I'm not going to punish you too much. That's why I had Washington hanging around the mid-high mark for a while and I expect them to move back up again. I'd been doing that with SF too but I've had to accept reality with them, this is not a team that is going to get healthy later. This would be a top team, should be, now I see them as a mid tier one. The whole of the AFC North looked like solid teams when the year started, that division has been losing players faster than anyone else. Baltimore can rebound, maybe, Lamar is godly after all and he's coming back maybe this week, but that defense will have to show some life.

    NFL Power Rankings Week 9

Cincy had just beaten Pittsburgh the week before so there's that. I see it. But their other wins were with Burrow. Jets have been atrocious but they've come close. Denver was within reach even though they had nightmarish offense. If i had a team and was looking for an easy win, both would serve sufficient, but I'd rather play Cincy. What happens when the worst offense in the league goes up against the worst defense? That offense scores 38 points. Unreal. I tuned in for this game as I'd taken Cincy for my survivor team this week and have now been eliminated. They were at home, the Jets offense was sh*t all year, they were banged up... nope ... it was a solid win. They were driving all game, a lot of those first half drives ended in FGs. They needed two stops at the end of the game and got them both.

It looked to me that it was the better team that won that game and they did it shorthand. Its not like the BS win Tennessee had against Arizona. Jets earned the W.

That's why Philly came out of it with the W, but they don't get any style points out of it. Anyone who watched that game came away thinking the Rams are better than the Eagles and it was a fluke outcome.

You didn't notice that the better team, the one that outplayed the other by a decent margin, was the one that lost the game due to a pair of special teams breakdowns?

The Colts are going to win the AFC thanks to their cupcake schedule but the true tests will be KC and Seattle. I wish I could say SF too but that team is running on coaching, willpower. and fumes.

    NFL Power Rankings Week 9

The Lions have been the best team in the league for the last two seasons and it's not close. This year, they've run a gauntlet of Packers, Lamar's non-injury decimated Ravens, Bears, Chiefs, Bucs, as well as the non-injury depleted Browns and Bengals and come out 5-2. When healthy they're still the best team out there. They never are healthy, they win anyway but coming off this bye, a lot of nagging injuries will finally get better all at the same time. Hopefully that can be used in the past tense. I can't put them ahead of Green Bay, they've only got one loss and that was a healthy Lions team that lost to them, even though the Lions have otherwise owned that team in recent years. I've had to drop San Fran sadly, despite being 5-3 because the injuries are just overwhelming. They find ways to win, I respect the team. The AFC Central deserves better luck than they've gotten. Baltimore should climb back up as people return. Cincy's defense is a nightmare but they'd deserve better if Burrow was around. Cleveland too, the offense sucks but that's as stout a defense as the NFL has. Going into the season, the Giants looked like they were going to be crap. They aren't, this should be a competitive team that deserves far better than 2-5. It looks more like injury, rather than talent deficiencies, that are keeping the Giants down. Arizona has had injuries too. As for the Chiefs, they have a helluva tough schedule. That division has arrived, plus they have a first place schedule. Patriots do have that big signature win against Buffalo but like Indy they're record may be an illusion as it is based on playing a far easier schedule than the rest of the top teams. Indy, to their credit, does blow out the bad teams. Victories over Denver and LAC look like better and better wins as those teams succeed although Denver feels like fools gold.
