My Liberian friend, with his heavy Liberian accent, had to claim that he was from Kentucky. In the US though, what an absurd canard. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Had to teach my wife how to do it right, we'll see how that goes. Last Thanksgiving was in Michigan with my mom, sister, aunt, and cousin to help. In Florida though we don't have extended family to lean on. Looking forward to the Lions game.

I know plenty that have assimilated well into US society and culture as well. These campus protests disturb me. Calling for the humane treatment of civilians is justified but these protests go well beyond that. There's an ugly simmering rage about Israel that has been laid bare.

I dunno. In the beginning, a cable TV news station had it relatively easy since there was no internet and bloggers to contend with. Now they're all fighting for a shrinking share of the market.
