Vancouver hockey fans booed the National Anthem when the Wings visited them yesterday. I can't get mad at them for being upset. This never happens under normal conditions. Its a new thing due to a trade dispute between governments and politicians. -
https://futurism.com/neoscope/elon-musk-drug-use-government-security-clearance I didn't know that. That link mentions drug use and contacts with foreign leaders keep him from the top level and his team has higher clearance than he does. He might have (must have) gotten it over-ridden with Trump.

It seems Elon was given more authority and access than you were anticipating but I am not at all surprised nor concerned that he has this access. I think its reasonable and can see how it helps him do what DOGE was intended as quickly and with as little interference as possible as he moves from one agency to the next. I'd be shocked if he and his team didn't have the necessary security clearances to do what they are doing.

They're angry that Elon is actually doing what they were told repeatedly for the last ten weeks that Elon was going to be doing.

I had three letters, one green and it just felt like I wasn't very close. There may well have been a dozen things out there - or not. Rather than think too much, I just took the first word I saw that had two unused letters and see if I couldn't get another letter and another green. Instead I got the whole thing. Oh! Cool!

[** Official President Donald J. Trump Thread **]
Voltaire replied to Cdub100's topic in The Geek Club
No. Tim's possibly right about the two years thing. For the party out of power to impeach the president, it takes more than throwing a temper tantrum since nobody cares. To get anywhere, they have to have majority control of the House of Representatives. The Dems' next opportunity at relevance is in the midterm elections. if the Dems can retake the House then, good grief, we can look forward to a third, fourth, fifth, and sixth impeachment because their beehive is being joyfully and mercilessly kicked repeatedly two thousand miles down the road. These a-holes are getting smacked with a hundred bazillion micro-aggressions and are going to be spending the next two years getting really, really pissed off beyond measure. The incumbent party usually loses seats which bodes well for them but the Dems have a bit of a hole to dig out to get there since they are so despised, they've lost control of the media and big tech, and leftoid government bureaucrats are being purged. -

DOGE should leave the Treasury department alone since it makes Dems cry. Rinse/Repeat for Homeland Security, Interior, Health and Human Services, Education, and all the rest.

Obviously we'll never know, but starfish and Fireball seem to have the best idea. This chick was moonlighting in Biden's White House after all. -

Are you getting that from the word "partner?" I mean I don't know but I do kinda/sorta recognize that "partner" lands with a thud whenever the NYTimes uses for alphabet people rather than husband/wife. If so, I'd not made that jump just yet, to know for sure that "partner" means gay spouse. -

I'd not heard the radio messages from ATC to the Army helicopter, just their conversations with the jet. I do know the jet is 0.00000% responsible for this. They were doing everything right and are off the hook completely. All the blame is going to be divvied up between ATC, the helicopter, and whoever designed/authorized those flight patterns and schedules. The early reports are that she was the one flying the helicopter, and if so, she's going to be the one who bears the bulk of the blame. -
Maybe some compassion is in order. This is a woman who's already chosen life at least once before, has just lost her son in a tragic accident, and now also has burns all over her body.
