It seems that the lack of any existing playtape of anybody in the Lions secondary may really be affecting Tampa.

9th Circuit court rules on Trump's National Guard deployment in Portland
Voltaire replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
Are you off your gourd? The 9th has been by far the most leftwing circuit for your entire lifetime and its not close. Its inevitably where leftoids go judicial shopping. Trump goes to the fifth. -

Senate Dems tank GOP plan to pay troops, fund Pentagon as shutdown hits Day 16
Voltaire replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
If the lower courts of federal judiciary get shut down as non-essential, my God that's the greatest idea ever that'd solve dozens of problems right there. I'd support keeping the government shutdown for 14 months. -

White House plans for an 'Arc de Trump'

#3 is up for grabs from Jefferson and Teddy. -
He's taking on all sorts of long-standing problems that other politicians can't/won't/don't solve and having great success and trying different things to get good results. Some of these have greatly succeeded, some are in the process, but things like solve the illegal immigration issue, such as peace in the Middle East, ending the Russia/Ukraine War, destroying Iran's nuclear program, ridding the government of the cabal of left wing apparatchiks, defending US history and western civilization from leftoids who guilt shame or rewrite history in a related way ridding the government of DEI and using what leverage he has to do the same outside government, raising military readiness standards, cleaning up DC and rooting out crime in other major cities, ending big tech media censorship, dragging colleges kicking and screaming into ending practices of deeply entrenched racism, new and untried trade policies around tariffs designed to coerce companies to build and hire, I'm not a fan of MAHA and what RFK Jr is doing with that, but it is big and aggressive with new ideas at any rate. While I think birthright citizenship is stupid, I do think its constitutionally protected and SCOTUS will bat it down, but I do like the effort of trying to end it. Now he's looking at what if anything to do about Maduro. That's just off teh top of my head. He's doing a hundred good things all at once.

Tim may be well be right. While its premature to call the Middle East 'settled,' it is more at peace right now now than at any other time in my memory. That done, Maduro may be next problem he tries to solve. He's certainly considering his options on undermining him. Maduro is widely known to be a POS and Trump doesn't shy away from tackling big, intractable problems. If Trump thinks he can solve the problem on the cheap with no US lives lost, he now seems likely to do it do it. Trump is no warmonger; so a Bushtarded regime change war is off the table. Also, this is new. it was not my position a possibility like this existed a week ago. It didn't occur to me that that time that he may be interested in doing this. He got Iran to sit down and STFU with a well timed and placed strike. -

It does start to look like he is testing the waters on Qaddafiing the focker. -
And then there were the ones that didn't yell at cops and just walked through the building. What happened to them?
-
Those people got four years in prison, what do you suppose will happen to these ones? The complete lack of awareness is amazing.
-
Trump attempts to tackle longstanding intractable problems that other politicians can't / won't. He's been busy as there are dozens of festering problems to figure out, but at the seven month or so mark, he got around to addressing urban crime in Washington DC and it seems the results are pretty good so far but having catch and release Biden judges like this around handicap the effort greatly, similar to how they behave in every instance everywhere.

Which one fights crime? Like we give a about her credentials rather than results. That you think this is a worthwhile, effective, defensible judge speaks loudly your judgements. I tell you what, I rope a half empty bottle of booze to a fishing line, toss it in a dumpster, pull out a bum, give him the answer sheet to the bar exam, appoint him as judge, give him more booze, and put him in the courtroom next to Kendra Briggs. The two teenagers that assaulted a child of yours have their court date today. Whose courtroom do you hope they land in?

Any team in the top 15 would be 5-1 with the Colts cupcake schedule. Its like being impressed by Andy Kaufmann's W/L record in pro wrestling. Give the Colts the KC Chiefs schedule and see what happens. The Colts won a coin flip with Denver and -give them the seven points they should have gotten vs the Rams but didn't due to the dumbest fumble in NFL history - and that game would have been a coin flip too. The rest of the teams they beat don't move the dial upwards. For the Colts to feel like they've arrived, they need a signature win. Tampa's a good team coming off a couple of impressive wins and doing it with many injuries. There's also no shame in losing to Philly. Maybe I was unfair to them. I'd not been terribly impressed coming into the season and some of that bias may still be there. On the other end of that, there are also probably more cracks in Philly and Buffalo than I care to notice because until this week they'd been able to buff them out decently.

You're right that OCDETF is being shut down. Its hard to pinpoint a reason but the closest as I can tell.is that there's been some reshuffling and the work is being conducted through other agencies with overlapping responsibilities. Trump has made fighting the cartels a major policy position with Joint Task Force Alpha and Vulcan, again I can't find the reason why this group OCDETF, was deemed expendable and its mission given to these other divisions. Thank you for the link. -

You're link is behind a paywall, but I know a way around: https://archive.is/FLupk Well, I'll be damned, I was sure you were full of it. This makes no sense though since combatting transnational crime is a major Trump policy position. I'll have to learn more. -

We're going to need more from you than this. My understanding is they have have expanded Joint Task Force Alpha and Joint Task Force Vulcan, which would mean that they are doing the exact opposite of what you claim. Here's my link, please provide yours: https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/department-justice-announces-significant-enforcement-and-expansion-efforts-dismantle -
The answer is 'he did nothing wrong,' not that 'he didn't accept money.' Something seems fishy and we're not being told what happened revolving around this situation. We're getting lawyerly answers but based on the non-denials, it sure does sound like he accepted the money, and if so, whatever happened both before and after that, we've no idea. The most assuring answer would be "There is no tape, Tom Homan didn't accept any money, all of this is BS," and we're not getting that answer. The second most assuring answer is "Here's exactly what happened and this is why we determined that he did nothing illegal," and we don't have that either. I think Tom Homan is doing an excellent job and it would not surprise me that the Biden administration would want to set him up. The conclusion I draw from the careful replies of his defenders is that the tapes are real and he almost surely took a bag with $50K. The circumstances both before and after that alleged exchange are being deliberately clouded in fog and we aren't being told anything other than that once the thing settled down, that he did nothing illegal, lets talk about the Middle East or the government shutdown instead. It's not terribly convincing.

Today, the day after Columbus Day / Indigenous People's Day, is Shove A Cactus Up A White Liberal's Ass Because They Are Western Civilization Hating Pieces Of Sh*t Day. To celebrate Shove A Cactus Up A White Liberal's Ass Because They Are Western Civilization Hating Pieces Of Sh*t Day, buy a cactus, find a white person who either celebrates Indigenous People's Day on Columbus Day or posts something along the lines of the post above this one, then shove that cactus up their ass. Christopher Columbus braved the unknown and through his efforts, united the new world with the old, and subsequent visits by him and other explorers that followed him brought the blessings of western civilization to these shores and ushered in the modern era. The Spanish who followed, together with their indigenous allies, overthrew the Aztecs, a truly evil civilization that engaged in slavery, cannibalism, and performed ritual human sacrifices to dark gods on a mass scale. I've got no problem with anyone thinking Indigenous People should have a day to celebrate them, but anyone thinking the appropriate day for doing so is Columbus day deserves a cactus shoved up their ass.

Next week, Tampa gets to play us still without any CBs, with Branch, suspended and Kirby Joseph shouldn't have been out there against KC anyways, so when he got dinged up, and it looked serious, it was a real gut check time. We may or may not get two other Pro Bowl caliber players back who didn't play vs the Chiefs in Alim McNeil and Tyler Decker (Alim was a lock for the Pro Bowl before getting hurt last year, whereas Decker already has the designation). All these injuries are short term fortunately, even Marcus Davenport's is "short term." In Davenport's case, the day Davenport is taken off of IR he'll trip getting off the team bus and miss another three weeks, so he doesn't count. Bubblewrap the focker so he can get five or six snaps in during week one of the playoffs until another season ending injury kicks in.

Israel Gaza thread- is the peace agreement still in effect?
Voltaire replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Israel is a bajillion times better than Hamas, but whatever. They have to live next to these turds and don't want to see any more people getting blown up policing the focktards, but that is preferable to having civillians getting murdered and kidnapped. Hopefully this peace deal holds up, its the closest we've come in our lifetime, but its also still less than 24 hours old and relies in part on terrorists keeping their word.
