The answer is 'he did nothing wrong,' not that 'he didn't accept money.' Something seems fishy and we're not being told what happened revolving around this situation. We're getting lawyerly answers but based on the non-denials, it sure does sound like he accepted the money, and if so, whatever happened both before and after that, we've no idea. The most assuring answer would be "There is no tape, Tom Homan didn't accept any money, all of this is BS," and we're not getting that answer. The second most assuring answer is "Here's exactly what happened and this is why we determined that he did nothing illegal," and we don't have that either. I think Tom Homan is doing an excellent job and it would not surprise me that the Biden administration would want to set him up. The conclusion I draw from the careful replies of his defenders is that the tapes are real and he almost surely took a bag with $50K. The circumstances both before and after that alleged exchange are being deliberately clouded in fog and we aren't being told anything other than that once the thing settled down, that he did nothing illegal, lets talk about the Middle East or the government shutdown instead. It's not terribly convincing.

Today, the day after Columbus Day / Indigenous People's Day, is Shove A Cactus Up A White Liberal's Ass Because They Are Western Civilization Hating Pieces Of Sh*t Day. To celebrate Shove A Cactus Up A White Liberal's Ass Because They Are Western Civilization Hating Pieces Of Sh*t Day, buy a cactus, find a white person who either celebrates Indigenous People's Day on Columbus Day or posts something along the lines of the post above this one, then shove that cactus up their ass. Christopher Columbus braved the unknown and through his efforts, united the new world with the old, and subsequent visits by him and other explorers that followed him brought the blessings of western civilization to these shores and ushered in the modern era. The Spanish who followed, together with their indigenous allies, overthrew the Aztecs, a truly evil civilization that engaged in slavery, cannibalism, and performed ritual human sacrifices to dark gods on a mass scale. I've got no problem with anyone thinking Indigenous People should have a day to celebrate them, but anyone thinking the appropriate day for doing so is Columbus day deserves a cactus shoved up their ass.

Next week, Tampa gets to play us still without any CBs, with Branch, suspended and Kirby Joseph shouldn't have been out there against KC anyways, so when he got dinged up, and it looked serious, it was a real gut check time. We may or may not get two other Pro Bowl caliber players back who didn't play vs the Chiefs in Alim McNeil and Tyler Decker (Alim was a lock for the Pro Bowl before getting hurt last year, whereas Decker already has the designation). All these injuries are short term fortunately, even Marcus Davenport's is "short term." In Davenport's case, the day Davenport is taken off of IR he'll trip getting off the team bus and miss another three weeks, so he doesn't count. Bubblewrap the focker so he can get five or six snaps in during week one of the playoffs until another season ending injury kicks in.

Israel Gaza thread- is the peace agreement still in effect?
Voltaire replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Israel is a bajillion times better than Hamas, but whatever. They have to live next to these turds and don't want to see any more people getting blown up policing the focktards, but that is preferable to having civillians getting murdered and kidnapped. Hopefully this peace deal holds up, its the closest we've come in our lifetime, but its also still less than 24 hours old and relies in part on terrorists keeping their word. -
The Chiefs are a quality team and caught the Lions at a fortuitous time but that's the breaks. We learned last year that home field doesn't mean much and you have to be healthy come playoff time.

U.S. Military Boat Strikes and Venezuela Thread
Voltaire replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
I don't have endurance for that. Nothing is going to happen. It's already only like three weeks or so between each boat. When this first started, I'd expected them to get blown up many more, I've been surprised its been so infrequent. Once a month for 15 months should suffice. Every 3-4 days seems to be Megla's pace. -
I didn't want to say anything about the officiating because my team was involved, but I'm glad impartial people noticed.

This happens all the time in sports, the refs miss the infraction but catch the retaliation because its way more obvious. You can about the a$$hole on the other team or about the refs being awful or you can shut up and suck it up quietly. It happens all the time, nobody cares, and it just makes you look petty. Branch particularly gets penalties and fined all the time because he lets these irritating a$$holes on the other team get under his skin and other teams know it. ---- Branch said after the game that he did a "childish thing" but was frustrated by Smith-Schuster not being flagged for an illegal block in the back. "I did a little childish thing. But I'm tired of people doing stuff in between the play and refs don't catch it. They be trying to bully me out there and I don't — I should've never did it. It was childish," Branch said. Added Branch, "I got blocked in the back (by Smith-Schuster) illegally. It was in front of the ref, the ref didn't do anything. Stuff like that. I could've gotten hurt off of that. I still shouldn't have done that." ---- I believe him but few/nobody saw that and few are going to watch the tape to verify it. They saw him knock the focker to the ground and initiate a shoving match. The long term thing people take away is the retaliation and Branch's penchant for reacting this way.

Good to get JaMo involved there since he's been quiet lately other than downfield blocking.
-
Well this was some bullsh*t but whatever. Trick play fooled ourselves. Hopefully we can continue to drive on the Chiefs at will.

That first half was one of the weirdest I'd ever seen. Then, amazingly, the second half was just as weird as the first. The Jets had a real shot at winning that game. Denver was giving it to them. It was there for the taking. If they had any semblance of offense whatsoever... just a little... just a morsel..... just a whiff ...

Hegseth: Qatar to build an air force base in Idaho
Voltaire replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
Qatar has never had access like this before, which continues my frustration with that country, because I can never find the right opportunity to post a 'Welcome Back Qatar' joke around here. -
I'm trying to figure: had the Jets gotten that first down, field goal, and actually won this game, would it have been even more absurd than the way Tennessee beat Arizona?
-
Oh sh*t! Government is shut down. Need to reopen it ASAP!
-
Conviniently, they're all overseas RIGHT NOW. Just cancel their passports. There's probably about two hours at least to get it done.
-
Oh well, that's that. And here I was, all ready to feel like a genius and stuff. Should have went for a 60 yard field goal rather than trust the offense to do something useful.
-
When I typed this, I thought I was just joking, not making predictions. I'm not usually ever this good.

Try this with "what does the witch who kidnapped Hansel and Gretel look like?" then look up Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro.
-
I had thought that Justin Fields was a good QB in a bad situation in Chicago and so I'm glad the Jets gave him a chance for a fresh start elsewhere, but this is just not working out either. If a Baker Mayfield/ Sam Bradford/ Geno Smith / (Mac Jones?) resurgence comes along, its not on the horizon any time soon.

The Jets defense forces a fumble deep in Denver territory, they got a field goal. Their special teams unit returns a kick deep into Denver territory, where they another field goal. The Jets are only down 10-6. If their defense and special teams can provide them with two more balls deep in Denver territory, they can win this game.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia Thread - Hearings on human smuggling case Dec. 8-9
Voltaire replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
Well there's a lot of partisan smoke going around in the circles where you get your news. He does gets sued constantly and reflexively on pretty much everything with some bullsh*t explanation, but that's most always based on activist lawyers and lower court judges making sh*t up and pretending its real. Upon closer examination, time and again, he's proven right on the law way more than he is wrong. So he gets accused of this ... then .... oopsie... he was right all along and the people claiming he broke the law were just fantasizing and found to be full of sh*t. Exacerbating that feeling is that frequently, when he doesn't win a ruling, he often follows the ruling to the least possible technical interpretation he can plausibly come up with. but then, since most of those rulings are not based on the actual law but rather on the imagination of partisan Biden appointees, they get overturned on appeal. Until then though, he does follow them and in instances where he loses the appeal too, he grudgingly accepts it. Now, this applies in 100% of the cases as far as I know. If it doesn't, tell me where I'm wrong. He does things. he gets sued in sued in New York City of San Francisco where the litigants know that some asswipe Communist lower court judge with a law degree from Columbia and an more often than not with a name resembling Jumanji Falafel Momofekktard, who had been appointed by Biden, will preside over the case and make a ruling against him. At this point, people like you say he broke the law. Then Trump complies but meanwhile, he appeals. Then he wins. Then people like you still say he broke the law.
