Dude, re-read your original post about how your playoffs work. You said: You didn't originally mention the bye (or 6 teams making the playoffs), which made your playoff system look stupid. That's why I questioned it. BTW, does anyone else smell corndogs?

There is one way to completely remove any luck factor. And that's calculating your record as if you play each team every week. For example, if you get the high score one week in a 10 team league, your record for that week is 9-0. Then the best team will have the best record at the end of the season. CBS Sportsline has this, but I'm not sure what they call it. Their power ranking is based off of this record.

After the first round, there would only be 2 teams left. So, wouldn't those same 2 teams obviously be the top 2 in the second round (since they're the only 2 teams)?

I think it's pretty lame. Urban Meyer tried that crap against Auburn and it didn't work.

FYI... Auburn has gotten shafted in the polls in recent years. When this happens, and they go to a lesser bowl game than they deserve, they don't seem to get up for the game. 2004 - Auburn goes undefeated in the regular season. Misses NC game in lieu of Oklahoma (USC deserved to be there), who just happened to start the season with a high ranking (top 3?) and never lost. Auburn started around #15 and had to climb all season to #3. Auburn goes to Sugar Bowl against VT and wins, but didn't really seem to be up for the game. 2005 - Auburn gets left out of Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State, because ND is selected instead, despite a lower ranking (I think). Auburn has to settle for Capital One Bowl against Wisconsin. Auburn isn't up for the game (would you be?) and loses.

About 10 years ago, I was playing against a team that had Brad Johnson (QB Minn). He threw a pass that bounced off the lineman's helmet, then he caught it and ran it in. So he got credit for the TD Pass and TD Reception.

The question you should be asking yourself is: Is this NFL? Or is this FF? You might be surprised by the answer.
