    MFM's interactive fantasy football blog

I've enjoyed reading this blog. Regarding your late change out to Sims it seems 90% of the time the late change works against you. You mentioned it yourself earlier in the blog cautioning against late changes but sometimes doubt creeps in. I need to pick 3 of the following in a ppr Forte, Cotchery, Driver, Fred Davis. Maurice Morris, Arian Foster or Camarillo with one of the three needing to be a RB. Who do you like?

    Trouble trading

I probably wouldn't make this trade myself. You are offering above average players and a very late #1 which will get you a WR prospect or maybe Torain if you are an owner who likes Torain. However Coles is thought by many to be starting to slip and White and reliable are two words I haven't seen together in the same sentence. Fantasy champioships are usually won by stud players... giving up the chance to get who you value as the top player in the draft should take more than you are offering IMO. If an owner is needing depth your trade offer is a little more appealing but to me I think you are over valuing it.

    2008 Rookie Scouting Portfolio

Matt Read that Gradkowski was waived today. The blurb mentioned accuracy as an issue. Any thoughts of what happened? His accuracy was supposed to be a strong point and arm strength average.

I'll go on record with my sleeper pick for 2008

True. Based on fantasy points per game he falls out of the top 20 if you count Delhomme and others who were injured or where there was a split. With a year he should improve but I dont see a big jump into the top 12 based on several factors that have already been mentioned.

I'll go on record with my sleeper pick for 2008

Top 12 QB seems too big an upgrade based on his lack of starts/experience. His running ability gives him upside and top 20 is within reach.

How about Norwood for week 16

Its weird, no matter what is said or planned. He cant get over the 6 to 9 carry hump. His owners including myself would love to see what he can do with 17-20 carries per game for the next 2 games. If so, I also want to get a clue if he is durable enough to handle that load.

Shaun King Trashes Alex Smith on ESPN 2

My first reaction learning it was Shaun King making the hit on Smith was irritation. It was because of Shaun King's play that TB didn't win their first SB. Just a terrible QB. Not defending Smith.

    Ricky Williams

Regarding reason #2 I can see the NFL wanting to put there best image forward in London and not have the media out there distracted by a Ricky reinstatement and a mashing over of his problems and suspension. Assuming Ricky could even be in playing shape by then.

Can the Redskins hold NE below 30 points?

They can and they will. Several things favoring this: As mentioned earlier its a trap game before they play the World Champion Colts on the road Game is on the road at Washington. Washington is one of the top Ds both for the pass and run. If needed has NE run the ball effectively this year?

Jon Kitna: Top 3 by Season's End?

If he stays healthy he has a great shot. Lions dont run the ball but may do a bit more in a couple weeks when Jones returns. I just think Kitna is a bigger injury risk than most other QBs based on the 4 and 5 receiver sets the Lions are using and Martz's unconcern with protecting the QB. He made it through last year taking all snaps but this year that is already out the door. The Lions lack of competent #2 QBwill bite them big time if Kitna goes down.
  21. Since you asked for opinions, here's mine. I think you got the short end. Walker had the most targets in the NFL for week 1. Cutler has less to throw to IMO than Brady. Personally, with the amount of time he's been injured Moss is a risky play and I'm a Moss owner. Peterson so far has been gold. I think you weakened your team by losing depth and I'm not sure Moss will be an upgrade over Walker in exchange for that loss.
  22. Its irritating to see Vick referred to as a "superstar" in the media reporting of this. Far from it.

Has anyone ever played in money leagues on Antsports?

The highest payoffs I have found regarding the % of money that is returned to the owners is from the below site. http://www.phenomsff.com/ I and many others I know play the phenoms leagues. Excellent service and very prompt payoffs. Each draft or auction is directly monitored by phenoms staff so there is quick resolution of disputes or problems. Best value I have found for money leagues. The Omega Leagues allow you to put in $50 and win over $1300 if you finish first overall.
  24. Pinning their hopes on Denver's castoffs and Millen's skill as a GM equals a continuing disaster for Lion fans.
