Since we know that the would-be-assassin's name is Thomas Matthew Crooks, shouldn't the thread title be updated?

Trump talk only- no Eagles talk allowed (Steelers talk is OK though)

I'm sorry, I forgot the legalization of bribery...as long as you only get your payments after the law is passed, not before. -

That's ONE big decision. There are a bunch of less known decisions that are a lot more nuanced than Abortion Yes/No, that the general public isn't as educated about. They have heard of the immunity decision, but other than..."oh that means Trump can't be tried in court" is about as far as most think, but it's so much more far reaching and has no basis in the constitution or really the countries ideals. The striking down of Chevron. The removal of a statute of limitations on federal regulations. Absurd record on the 2nd amendment. Voting rights. Sorry, I disagree vehemently about how far the Supreme Court can move the lines as they have shown time and time again since they 6-3 super majority. It's amazing how wrong all the previous courts have been and the 6 Super Justices are the only ones who really understand the Constitution and the Laws...or maybe it's they are full of sh!t. But it's going to be a lot longer than 10 years before things get back to normal. -

It was the power hungry democrats who created the court we have today? How was it power hungry that she didn't retired in 2015 or early 2016? Would McConnell have let Barrack fill that nomination? Cause it seems to me it was the GOP who started making up precedents when it comes to SCOTUS nominations. -
Really looks like a throwback to the original...so cool! Take a look at our 'Last Final Trailer' concept for 20th Century Fox & Hulu movie Alien: Romulus (2024) I clicked on the link for the Jurassic World 4 trailer(cause we thought this was from the studios) and me and another editor day laughing cause the effects were so bad. Thank god it wasn't real. If you want a laugh, check it out.

If he wins, he will appoint 2 to 3 more young unqualified judges who will continue to trample the constitution and continue the consolidation of power in the judiciary and executive branches. The things he will do(and has already done) may never be done---at least not in my lifetime. -
I watched a flight attendant lose it after she told a guy to put away tablet/laptop he was using as a calculator. Keep in mind the plane was still boarding and he said "I'm pretty sure my calculator isn't going to take down the plane". Flight attendant loses it, has the captain remove the guy---guy with family is incredulous-police are called. He's escorted off and family comes with him. And yes, his little kids were seemed traumatized at the time. I wrote the airline a letter blasting their thin-skinned crew members and let them know I wouldn't ever fly with them again and I haven't. They are still in business though, so my strike hasn't broken them............ yet.

Judge tosses Trump documents case, ruling prosecutor unlawfully appointed
Mike Honcho replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
She is about to get dumped from the case ASAP. Special Counsel have been ruled legal for years, this will be appealed with a writ of mandamus---and at that point the 11th will remove her, her errors are too much for her to be allowed to continue. -
So are you saying the govt will provide an anesthesiologist? Nice.

So Ben thinks the political discourse in the this country is too hot? I guess we should all be glad for the calming voice he's provided over the years.

I watched the entirety of the hearing and the bullets were first presented to Hannah's lawyer. It's pretty complicated, but he supposedly first told witness who had them to bring them to the trial, saw them and then told him to take them away, he didn't want them as they were not exculpatory for Hannah. This was during Hannah's trial, they had been sitting at this third parties house for 2 years. After Hannah's trial he took them to the police and it was then that they were filed under a different case number(early March). This all came out during the hearing. That part is very strange, sketchy and I think the CST will have some explaining to do about that. The lead detective on the case had never saw these bullets but did know about them. It doesn't seem either special prosecutor knew about the separate case number(I think that's why the one resigned at lunch---this was too focked up for her, not that BS excuse they gave). The question is how and when did Baldwin's lawyers find out about these bullets. My instinct's tell me that they spoke with Hannah's lawyers, he tells them the story of the bullets. They get discovery and find out those bullets have not been listed(separate case #) and then they sat on it. On day 2, the asked the CST about it, day 3 they introduce the motion to have the case dismissed. Cued up to the beginning of the hearing, it's pretty long. First is the CST - who accepted the bullets and a cop who had body camera on when they arrived. Then Kenny, gives a history of the live ammunition used to train actors on another Yellowstone. The theory being that the live ammunition that killed Halyna Hutchins and the Yellowstone rounds all originally came from a the same batch. Then the lead detective, testified-she's was pretty clueless and confused about all of this. Finally, and the craziest thing I've ever seen, the Special Attorney took the stand too and testified about this too and how she didn't know...yada yada yada. Anyway, long story, but I'd don't think this helps Reed, if it's proven her lawyer knew about and had access to the bullets.

They can appeal, but at first glance, I don't know how much it's going to help. Her lawyer did know of this evidence and didn't want it coming into trial because it wouldn't have been favorable to her.

When that happens we can revisit the "no one is going to be held responsible." IMO, the two people responsible have been held accountable, as I have explained many times in this thread. But I agree 100% the prosecution fubared this six ways to Sunday when they charged Baldwin with this crime.
