French Open - Men and Women purse for winning is the exact same
Mike Honcho replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
Of the Grand Slam tournaments, the French Open is the second to last to have instituted equal prize money for men and women, doing so in 2007, 34 years after the US Open decided to change in 1973. That same year, Wimbledon offered equal prize money. -

Confirmed: 2020 Election WAS stolen by Democrats
Mike Honcho replied to Tree of Knowledge's topic in The Geek Club
Gotta love this headline: HUGE: Postal Service Releases Final Report – Contract Driver Jesse Morgan Vindicated – Report CONFIRMS He Hauled Trailer of Ballots from NY to PA in Late October 2020 Jessie's claim: The report that vindicated him. So the ballots from the PRINTING COMPANY and then he delivered some to their final destination. If this is what passes for evidence and facts among the right wing leaning people in our country, it's not wonder that you elect people like Trump and MJG. -
By accident the other day, I bought sugar free Popsicles...this shouldn't even be a thing! Who the fock wants a healthy Popsicle! Good Popsicles are still around, but I definitely had to look a lot harder than necessary to get them.

Megalodon tooth necklace spotted in digital scan of Titanic wreck
Mike Honcho posted a topic in The Geek Club
Thought @Bill E.would be interested in this story A necklace carrying the tooth of a prehistoric shark known as a megalodon has been discovered in the wreckage of the Titanic during a digital scan of the sunken ship. For more than 100 years, the necklace has sat at the bottom of the ocean following the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, according to Magellan, a deep water investigation company that carried out the scan. -

Greetings and salutations. Good weather and good weekend in West Michigan. Did my favorite weekend activity---doing nothing well dozing in a hammock. Did that after I bought a new refrigerator. Current one is dying-repairman came over and read the last rites. Hopefully it lasts awhile though, the one I settled on as a replacement is backordered 8 weeks. And the last thing I did was to put smart surge protectors on two of my outlets, redo my wifi to 2.4G to connect them to the app, then restore the wifi back to 5G. Bit of a pain in the butt, but now with a click of my phone, I can stop the energy suck of entertainment system and appliances while I'm out of the house. Woohoo. On this day in 2005 French Open Men's Tennis: Spaniard Rafael Nadal beats Mariano Puerta of Argentina 6-7, 6-3, 6-1, 7-5 to claim his first French title---whatever happened to that Nadal guy? Every geek, have a great week!

Fock! My biggest problem is I have an old house, very narrow doors and hallways(planning on having a lot of cash on hand to tip the installers) so that was my limiting factor---good luck on the repair.

Best Xmas we woke up to find this. It's still in our next door neighbors house from after we moved out. My favorite of all time is High Speed. I've been on the lookout for a reasonably priced one for years.

Me and best friend would go spend the night with his parents on their bowling night, just so we could go to the one arcade in the area that had that game. Was a good era for video games, not every thing was a shooter, most of it was new and original.

If you have an Xbox, you can go the online store and buy it for a few bucks. It felt very good to finally beat that damn game---though I still haven't managed to do it on a single play yet.
