    Yeah...I'm a bit worried

I opened this thread because I searched for Springfield(I was going to make a joke about how we might all be eating dogs soon)...saw these first three posts - seemed a good time to revisit. I really like that Strike agrees with the OP about tariffs being a bad idea, but yesterday kept posting how the tariffs were "winning". Says a lot about Strike.
  2. Also, I'm sure it's been posted, but we put tariffs on an island of penguins.
  3. Here is how they figured out the rates, it's pretty nuts.

  5. Full Story The House Ethics Committee secretly voted earlier this month to release its report into the conduct of former Rep. Matt Gaetz before the end of this Congress, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the matter. The report is now expected to be made public after the House’s final day of votes this year as lawmakers leave Washington for the holidays, those sources said. The vote, which has not previously been reported, amounts to a stark reversal for the panel after it had voted along party lines in late November not to release the results of the investigation. The decision to release the report suggests that some Republicans ultimately decided to side with Democrats on the matter, and it is unclear if the committee will once again change course now that it has voted. When the committee voted last month to shelve the report, Gaetz was President-elect Donald Trump’s choice to be attorney general. Since then, Gaetz withdrew himself from consideration for the Senate-confirmed post, though he maintains frosty relations with many in his party and is still active in GOP politics. It is exceedingly rare for an ethics report to be released after a member has left Congress, though it has happened on a couple of occasions in the past. The committee revisited the issue behind closed doors earlier this month after a feud over the report spilled into public view before Thanksgiving.
  6. You only would have had to watch 25 seconds to see Trump say twice tariffs won't increase prices. He didn't say prices going up in the short term, he didn't say 'costs might go up' he said they won't increase prices.
  7. Not according to Trump (video cued up to relevant part).

    Trump Fact Checking Thread

Ah yes, the golden age, robber barons, no worker protections, work weeks of 60 hours and unrestricted child labor. Sounds great!
  13. So Thanks Biden!

  17. This is newsworthy-that the President is issuing executive orders against law firms that may have done work against him, which include barring them from all federal buildings(like courthouses), one of the most egregious violations of free speech ever--that gets

  19. The two that get absolutely no leeway from me are REO Speedwagon and Boston. I'm not suggesting they make bad music, but the music they made just does not work for me at all. Not one pleasure center in my brain lights up at all when I hear either of them.

Death Pool update - Val Kilmer

Had he not been such a heavy smoker, he probably would have lived to add to his legacy. The last movie I watched with him before Maverick was Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and that was hilarious. RIP.

    Election Fraud in Wisconsin

I know. But more than someone having a different opinion than me, or just being incorrect, I get more peeved by logical fallacies(RLLD's bread and butter). I just can't let them slide.
