My contention was 12 teams was too many for Division 1. What I was trying to state; after a full season, 8 teams are more than enough to determine a champion. College football isn't basketball where a Step Curry on Davidson is going to knock out multiple higher ranked teams. Maybe once in awhile in football a #12 loses to a #5, but not often enough to need a 12 team playoff. If that wasn't clear, well that just proves you were right by saying I'm not bright, sometimes I have trouble articulating my thoughts.

You'll get no argument from me on that point, but I don't get why you think my contention that 12 teams was too many means that by that my logic the NBA should only have 4 teams in the playoffs.
