i'm giving baldwin another chance this week against that terrible oakland secondary. he looked fine to me last week (and did practice in full), just was a run heavy game script and wilson managed to hit some long bombs to other guys. lost my week because of him last week, can't afford to lose another. its him or guys like allison (if he gets cleared--monday game), davis (vs bmore), kupp (concussion protocol), Lmiller (sucks), or godwin (low snap count, too many options in TB). Will be agonizing this decision...I wish there was some report of Baldwin or the coaches speaking out about his lack of involvement...something to get excited about other than it being a decent matchup. otherwise i'm just hanging my hat on past years production and the draft capital i invested.

glad i stuck it out with luck the last 2 weeks after every "expert" left him for dead following week 3. 50+ pass attempts will get it done. if only he had a better supporting cast...hilton might be out a while which is annoying. i can't watch pascal anymore he's awful. -
Demarius Thomas and Hogan= Hot Garbage!
American Chewy replied to purplengold47's topic in FFToday Board
Thinking of grabbing coutee and dropping hogan. But not gonna bid much. Do think Hogan benefits from Edelman and Gordon drawing better coverage. Question is, has dorsette passed him? -
Was covered by Xavier Howard and jalen ramsey in 2 of those early games. Should be a stud when not covered by some of the best corners in the league, typical of most wrs.

with baldwin coming back i'm switching from cardinals to tenn. titans seem to be good at mucking games up, getting some sacks and turnovers. wentz isn't back to where he was yet, colts held him down last week. bonus to this is tenn plays buffalo next week as well.

Vikings at Rams: In-Game Discussion

Great play design to get kupp matched up with a linebacker. Career long for him and most yards allowed to any wr this yr by vikes. Guess he's an every week stud. Kupp owners can thank me. -

benching kupp. vikings just don't allow passing tds. not sure he can catch enough and get the yards to be worth starting as my WR2 this week. -
Not dropping him, but on the bench till he shows up.

Rolling Arizona at home vs seattle. Very low total in that game with a toss-up spread. Smells like an ugly grinder similar to bears game. Hoping they can take adv of that Seattle line unlike the cowboys last week.

Any Luck or Alex Smith Owners Out There? Panicking yet?
American Chewy replied to MissionCoach's topic in FFToday Board
luck has a great schedule going forward. was rather flukey that the redskins couldn't score at all vs the colts. more often than not the colts will need to score and luck will have 40+ pass attempts. i dont think he's going to get worse at least. should be a solid 20 points most weeks, just maybe not a league winner like we hoped. -
this chiefs game feels like a major letdown spot. after two tough roadies against what were thought to be playoff teams you come home and face the rather meh niners while soaking in the love from the home fans. wouldnt shock me at all to the the niners competitive with a shot to win late. kinda like under 55.5 too.

could see cardinals defense giving trubisky problems.

prob gonna stick with bmore at home vs denver, though mosley likely out is giving me 2nd thoughts because they looked awful without him. i'm just about ready to go into full stream mode. dallas looks most intriguing for next few weeks.

Is Fitzpatrick pulling a Kurt Warner?
American Chewy replied to Canadianfan's topic in FFToday Board
worth a one week stab, i'm putting in a small bid at least. luck is basically a game manager this year, i need more upside. -
I generally agree with this but I would at least add these things to the luck column: weekly TD variability and head to head scoring systems TDs in general are heavily weighted in nearly every scoring system (though at least watered down a bit in PPR), they swing games more than any other stat. so when your WR gets tackled at the 1 after a long catch and your opponents RB gets the plunge that feels unlucky. or when your RB does the heavy lifting most of the day but coach brings in the vulture RB at the GL, that feels unlucky too. defensive tds often feel random, even the best defenses in the league might only get 1 or 2 tds (minn def last year had 1 for instance, yet tampa had 4). yes, over a 13+ week reg season the best players will have the most TDs and thats where we can win with predictions in the long term...but week to week variability feels like luck. which leads directly into H2H scoring systems feeling luck based to a certain degree as well (the old "I faced the top scoring team every week" thing). you have no control over who you face week to week, and schedule absolutely can decide who makes the playoffs and who doesn't.

Again, Wednesday practice reports should be ignored. Most stars are limited or even sit it out.

learn to ignore wednesday practice reports. thursday/friday are much more telling.

i'm really disappointed someone on this board isn't best friends with bell and knows his plans.
-
the offense was awful in the 2nd half without lynch. i think they would prefer to play him more. i'm buying the illness excuse for now.
-
Baldwin's value has to be at its lowest. hell, i'd just about drop him for brandon marshall.
-
don't see how he can be trusted next week vs jax. will be on my bench. but i still like him long-term.
-
planning on him being an every week WR2 as long as he holds up. very high on him, loved watching him last year. definitely someone brady trusts...fits that welker mold.

wilkins i took in the last round (15th) even when i wasn't sure about mack's injury being anything serious. not an uber talent but has 3 down ability. micheal and turbin i'm not worried about. can mack stay on the field? if luck is back to normal wilkens could be something. at least worth a buy and hold early on, obv with mack not playing.
