    Which WR should I start?

Roddy White is going against Revis, so no. Between Nicks & Garcon, its Garcon by a mile. He's gotten more targets over the past few weeks, and he has the better match up.

Playoff Help! I will help you

Brutal match ups. All your RB's other than Forsett have match ups that are in the bottom 12. Poor foresight when making trades preparing for the playoffs. I'd start Forsett, expecting 13-15 touches against a bottom 10 Tampa Bay defense. If Arian Foster,Chris Jennings, or Gaither aren't on the wire, then I'd start Reggie Bush if its a PPR league, and Tomlinson if its not. San Diego really feeds Tomlinson the ball in the Red Zone, so if you're in a league where TD's are important, I'd think he's the best start. But that's a really pitiful group to pick from. Start all 3 of your WR's. And I like Alex Smith as your QB. The iggles have given up the 13th most points to QB's, so they're actually a good match up. Cutler, the interception machine, is up against one of the ten worst defenses in the league this week. Only 5 defenses have more interceptions than the Ravens, and Cutler is just so ready to throw them 5 more. Could still use some feedback on mine, in case there's some angle I haven't considered: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=359505

Need an RB2 to pair with AP, have five choices

I've decided to go with Justin Forsett, and ignore just about everyone's advice . P. Thomas has a hip injury, and Bell should be back in the line up. So I predict he gets his usual 14 touches like he usually gets when Bell is active (he's averaged 14 touches when Bell is healthy & active). But he's also against the Cowboys, who are a pretty bad match up. Forsett got 13 touches to Julius Jones' 11 last week. So if he gets 13 again, he'll pretty much have the same total as Pierre Thomas, except his match up is excellent. I wish I could start Chris Jennings, but Mangenius is evil, and can I seriously start a player on the Browns in championship week? Westbrook isn't healthy, and Mendenhall's match up is just too brutal. The Packers haven't allowed an 100 yard rusher since week 3, and they've allowed a league fewest 3 rushing touchdowns. And two of those 3 rushing TD's belong to Adrian Peterson. There's no way I'm starting Mendenhall. So if you have a crystal ball, and can convince me that PT will overcome his tough match up, or you can assure me than Chris Jennings will get 20 touches against KC, then I might start one of them. But Forsett seems like the guy with the most upside.
  4. Big money PPR league, and my opponent is very weak at RB. Thus, I absolutely cleared my bench and added any viable starting RB off of the waiver wire to deprive him of a good RB2 option. The trick is, this made my sit/start decision at RB2 pretty tricky. Keep in mind my league uses PPR scoring, no points for return yards, and -2 for each fumble. Here's your choices, and I have them listed in the order that I would rank them: 1) Justin Forsett vs. Tampa Bay (yields 10th most points to RB's) - Forsett had 13 touches last week to Julius Jones' 11. 2) Brian Westbrook vs. San Francisco (8th most points to RB's) - SF gives up most receptions to RB's, still not a lock to play, limited touches? 3) Pierre Thomas vs. Dallas (20th most points to RB's) - Plenty of upside, but tough match up & Bell/Bush steal carries. 4) Rashard Mendenhall vs. Green Bay (32nd) - This match up is a nightmare, but he has the most guaranteed workload in this group. 5) Chris Jennings vs. Kansas City (6th) - Best matchup, but Mangenius is evil. Can this option be trusted? Leave a link, and I'll reply to yours. The more thought you put into your response here, the more thought I'll put into the response for yours.
  5. Be ballsy and start Smith. On the year, the Iggles have given it up to opposing QB's (10th most points on the year). Eli, Jason Campbell, and Chris Redman have all had very respectable 25.8/15.8/33.4 point totals against them in the last 3 weeks, and they're not exactly a great group of QB's. The Bengals & San Diego represent some of the toughest match ups for opposing QB's. Pretty much have to start SJax and Jamaal Charles, and I don't think its close. If you want to get risky, you can start Ganther, as the Giants give up the 3rd most rushing TD's in the league. I don't think Mendenhall & Snelling are even in the picture. Burleson is out. Holmes & AJ are no-brainers. The Rams suck, and only 5 teams in the league have given up more passing TD's than the Packers. The last choice is between Avery & Chambers, and I'd probably start Chambers. The choice is really close however. The Browns do a pretty good job against WR's, and Bowe will be back. But Avery is so unreliable, and Harvin's match up is just so poor. Tough choices. Hope it works out.

Is Cleveland a sneaky D/ST play week 14 and 15?

Temper your expectations. Sure, they piled up the points against the Steelers, but keep in mind that the Steelers allow the most points to fantasy defenses in the league. That said, given your other two options, it is pretty tempting to roll with the Browns. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=359505

RB and Defense Help for Semifinals

I like Ganther & Charles as well. The Giants give up the 3rd most rushing touchdowns per game in the league (1.3 per game, tied with the Buffalo Bills). I like the Cardinals more than the Broncos, but its close. Detroit gives up 2 interceptions per game (most in the league), and about as many sacks as the Raiders. The other defensive stats are fairly hard to predict (touchdowns, fumble recoveries, ect.). Thus, I'd give the edge to the Cards, but its not like you can really go wrong with either choice. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=359505

    Week 9 Waiver Wire Pick-Ups

This guy needs more love. 8 looks in week 9, a favorite target of Stafford's, and gets the Minnesota "we give up 2nd most points to TE's in the League" defense.
  9. c9h13no3

    WDIS@ WR/TE

I like Dwayne Bowe & Mike Sims-Walker. Smith has been far too unreliable. Witten has underperformed even with good match ups against Atlanta, NYG, and Tampa Bay. Bowe is going against the Jags who allow 2nd most points to WR's. They can't stop anyone in the passing game. MSW is against the Chiefs who allow 4th most points to WR's. I am a little worried about his workload with Mike Thomas getting a lot of looks, and last week's performance, but even with a reduced workload he should still get plenty done vs. the Chiefs. But if you're worried about his workload & MJD dominating the game, then I wouldn't blame you for starting Witten who does have the easiest possible match up against Philly, who can't stop anyone's TE.

Lost Daniels in a competitive 12-team $ league

Honestly, there's so many TE options on the waiver wire, it doesn't make sense to me to trade WR's & RB's to obtain a position with good options on the waiver wire. I lost Cooley in a 12 team $ league, and I'm currently running a Zach Miller/Fred Davis committee.
  11. c9h13no3

    Matt Forte

Sell sell sell! Forte still averaged 3.4 yards per carry against a Browns team that allows 4.9 YPC on the year. That offensive line in Chicago isn't opening any holes what-so-ever. If I could get Kevin Smith for Forte right now, I'd be dancing.

    Draft Strategy revisted

I went WR-WR-WR in a 12 team PPR league drafting in the 10 spot. We start 3 WR's each week. 1- Andre Johnson 2 - Greg Jennings 3 - Dwayne Bowe 4 - Pierre Thomas 5 - Thomas Jones 6 - Ray Rice 7 - Beanie Wells 8 - Chris Cooley Ended up trading for Schaub as my QB right after the draft for some late round picks, and scored Mike Sims-Walker off the waiver wire to cover WR bye weeks. 5-2 so far.
  13. This analysis assumes the fantasy playoffs are Week 14-16. Sorry if your commish sucks and set the playoffs to something else in your league. If you're between 7-0 and 5-2, the following quarterbacks are good choices to target for the post season, especially if you own Matt Ryan, Tony Romo, or Tom Brady. All 3 of those quarterbacks have atrocious fantasy playoff schedules. If you are between 2-5 or 3-4, sell these quarterbacks below to owners who will make the playoffs in exchange for players who will produce ASAP. I've sorted the top tier schedules for the fantasy playoffs for QB's. The numbers on the right are the average points per game the defenses they face allow. Top Tier QB Schedules: SD 24.6 Mia 24.4 StL 23.63 Ari 22.5 Bal 21.77 NO 20.87 Det 20.2 Min 19.6 Hou 19.57 Pit 19.23 Cin 19.17 Phillip Rivers is obviously the top fantasy playoff commodity, as he has the most superior schedule (Dal, Cin, Ten) and has very little injury risk (so he is likely to make it to week 14 healthy if you trade for him now). Joe Flacco's schedule is favorably front loaded in the playoffs, with the easiest match ups in week 14 and 15, which is good since you may be eliminated from the winner's bracket before week 16. Additionally Flacco doesn't carry as strong a brand name as Rivers, Warner, or Brees, and he is likely to be a back up QB on an owner's bench. Because of this, you may be able to acquire him cheaply for some upside in the playoffs. Of the widely available QB's with upside, Alex Smith & Matt Leinart are two names worth stashing on your bench once you near the fantasy playoffs, if you could use some upside at QB. I might do RB's, WR's, and TE's later, if I'm feeling motivated.

Fantasy Playoffs: Schedule Comparison for QB's

You know, the site you're on has a more detailed one... And comparing all top 10 match ups together isn't the same. The average fantasy defense allows 18.75 fppg, and the 10th best match up (Ari) allows an average of 20.5. Its better to put a number value to things. And I realize the stats can "lie" or be influenced by factors other than just how good a defense is. I agree Carolina & Buffalo's pass defense is worse than it appears because you can run on them all day, and the patriots will run less than your average team. But I would certainly trade Brady for Rivers right now straight up if I was 7-0.

Fantasy Playoffs: Schedule Comparison for QB's

Carolina gives up the least passing yards per game in the entire league, and gives up the 9th least fantasy points per game to QB's. Buffalo has more interceptions than any team in the league, and gives up the 5th least points to QB's. Explain to me how this is a good thing for Tom Brady in the post season. And yeah, I don't expect anyone to pick up Henne or Bulger either... but they're included for the sake of completeness.

Interesting situation with unpaid teams. WWYD?

Yeah... if you want to have a money league you have to specify this up front. Just about every league that I've been in that has started out free and then tried to wager money has failed to get everyone on board and you run into problems like these. Remember the #1 rule of pimpin': Cash First, Ass Last. And while there's no ass in fantasy football, cash first is certainly a good rule to follow.

    Predictions for TJ Housh

Every time I look at the 'Hawks upcoming pass defenses, I get a hard on for Seattle pass catchers.
  18. c9h13no3

A Couple of Week 8 WR Sleepers

Kenny Britt - Jags allow a ton of points to WR's, Titans need to see what rookie Britt can do. Devery Henderson - Gets a decent # of looks, and Falcons give up 4th most pass plays of 20 yards or more. Danny Amendola - Averaging 4.3 catches per game in the last 3, and Detroit sucks

Interesting situation with unpaid teams. WWYD?

No playoffs, regular season points pay IMO. But I'd have turned the unpaid player into a bye week before week 1.
  20. c9h13no3

Forte is officially the biggest bust of 2009!

Offensive line play is absolutely terrible at Chicago as well. Orlando Pace is just playing horribly in run blocking.

    commish trade help?

This trade can't improve team B's starting line up, as both sides get a QB, WR, RB. Each player team B gets hurts him points-wise compared to what he is giving team A, and it hurts the amount of cap room he has. I'm not sure how much a top 5 pick is worth in next year's draft, but it can't be worth this trade. I'd be inclined to veto it, since it looks sorta collusion-ish.
  22. c9h13no3

    RB lineup

If its PPR scoring, I start LT & Slaton. San Francisco gives up the most receptions to RB's in the league by a big margin. NO's D has been stifling against the run, but its hard to sit Ronnie Brown in standard scoring formats.
  23. c9h13no3

    Greg Jennings

I'm going after Vincent Jackson in one of the leagues I own Jennings in. Jackson's playoff schedule is awesome. However, I'm expecting I'll have to throw in something else for the deal to go through. WR's that I think are equal to Jennings: Mason, D. Jackson, C. Johnson.

Pick My RB2 & TE This Week...

The Bills give up more points to RBs than any team in the league... how can anyone pick someone other than Stewart here?

    Beanie Wells

I dropped him like a bad habit in week 3.
