Overload at RBs and need a TE

Hey guys, Thinking over this trade, let me know what you think. 12 team PPR league, QB-friendly. Here is my team: QB: Drew Brees HB: MJD HB: Ryan Grant WR: Roddy White WR: Lance Moore / Percy Harvin / Antonio Bryant TE: Formerly Chris Cooley, now picked up Kevin Boss and Fred Davis W/R: Rashard Mendenhall B: Beanie Wells B: Fred Jackson B: Kyle Orton Currently in 3rd place Here's the offer I received: I receive: Owen Daniels Eddie Royal or Julius Jones I give up: Rashard Mendenhall Beanie Wells, or anyone I want to throw on Mendenhall & Wells are obviously my #3 / 4 running back and I need a decent TE now that Cooley is hurt. Guy offered Eddie Royal because I could use a WR, but I don't think he's the answer. Can I ask for more? He has Calvin Johnson, Eddie Royal, Kevin Walter as his WRs.

    Weekly Rankings

That's not really a fair question because it's all subjective; there's no such thing as "accurate". If you're asking who is better at predicting the future, I don't think there's been a study that extensive yet. Would be a good business idea, though...there's a lot of money in fantasy football.
  3. Drew Brees is an anomaly. I'm in a heavily scored QB league, and Brees almost beat an entire team in week 1. That being said, the #2 & 3 were Brady / Warner, and they've both had a bad game already. After Brees there is a large drop-off, and after the top 5 there is another drop off...it really depends on how much QBs are valued.

    Play Choice and F. Jones?

Ouch man, that's a weak RB crew... I'd play Jones for sure, and either LJ or Parker at #2.

Is it time to pickup JAMES DAVIS?

If you have a 12 team league, go for it. He was actually drafted in my league.

    Marion Barber

Reports I've read said he's probably out. Jones is awesome, anyway, which would lead more to him sitting. Barber/Jones is one of the hardest handcuffs to get, just behind Johnson/White and LT/Sproles...you have to spend a lot for those.

    Thoughts on drafting a defense

I can speak from experience last year, I was in the same boat as a lot of you. In general, defenses don't score that many points, so I figured I would play match-ups week to week and use the waiver wire. I'd say about 40% of the time it worked out. This year I took a different approach and picked a defense as soon as the first one came off the board. Pitt went 1st and I took NYG. Through 2 games I can say I'm extremely happy about this pick, as I've beaten my opponent's defense by 10+ points each week. I didn't realize what I was missing last year and am ecstatic about getting solid points out of the same draft pick that would be something like Justin Fargas, a guy entrenched in my bench.

Bills non-commital about RB starter in Buffalo

It's borderline ridiculous to bench a guy who is averaging 150+ yards per game, especially considering Lynch was only mediocre last year. It's only been two games so there's still time to slow down, but if he keeps it up he better keep his job...see Tom Brady after the Bledsoe injury.

    P. Harvin @ DET

Thinking about starting him over Antonio Bryant myself...

Are you giving Cutler another chance week 2?

Cutler is still a good QB despite one bad game. Factor in Pitt's great run defense and Troy P. out, and they'll probably go to the air. I'd start him.

    R. Grant, D. McFAdden or D. Williams?

    Grant and Williams

    Willie Parker vs. Fred Jackson

Hey guys, I was "consensus last place" in the pre-season rankings of my league and in week 1 I put up a league-best 196 points. The "sleeper" at my flex spot was Fred Jackson of the Buffalo Bills. Here's the rub: I received an offer where I would receive Willie Parker and give up Fred Jackson. Would you do it? I also have Rashard Mendenhall on my bench. My league is points per catch, if that matters. Cheers

I Want To Trade LJ To You

You're going to have to find a guy who thinks he's going to put up good numbers, there are probably 1-2 in every league. Highlight how he's a full-time starter, I doubt he'll lose his spot unless he starts sucking. Big risks in the loss of Gates without a replaceable target, so defenses may focus on him. The O-Line has been weak recently, but I read they picked up 2 of the NE offensive linemen recently. In our league, he was drafted in between Darren McFadden/Ray Rice and Joseph Addai, if that helps you out. For some reason, Rice went pretty high in our league.

    Who's the crazy one

I feel like I'm going crazy because apparently my team is voted worst in my league, while I think I'm one of the top. 12 team keeper league, PPR, VERY QB friendly (pts. for completions/incompletions, 6 pt TDs, 2 pt INTs) Here's my team: QB: Drew Brees HB: MJD HB: Ryan Grant WR: Roddy White WR: Antonio Bryant TE: Chris Cooley W/R: Fred Jackson for wks 1-3, then Hakeem Nicks / Domenik Dixon / Rashard Mendenhall / Percy Harvin, whoever performs Def: NYG I'm considering trading Ryan Grant and someone for a weaker RB and a decent flex guy. My league has a ton of hate on Antonio Bryant, mostly because I picked him pretty high (last pick in round 4, over Roy Williams, Ocho Cinco, Brandon Marshall, Eddie Royal, Anthony Gonzalez). I believe they are ragging on me because I have essentially no flex guy (I traded Darren McFadden & Santana Moss for Ryan Grant & Rashard Mendenhall because I hate D-Mac and like Mendenhall [i think Parker will get hurt], also I hate Moss's inconsistency), and they are giving me a ton of grief for picking Bryant so high. But bottom line, I think the strength of my team will easily carry me to the playoffs. And it looks like Nicks might be a decent flex guy, or I also have Earl Bennett sleeping on my bench. Tell me I'm right!

    MJD and Turner

Non-PPR it's Turner by a large margin. PPR I'd take MJD. Keep The Burner.
