Here’s my favorite E Smiff story. He grew up in a pretty poor neighborhood in Pensacola. I’ve got him and Nix as DNDs at their price. Neither will repeat. The sophomore slump is for real. They won’t catch anyone by surprise this year, and I’m guessing they’ll both be reading their press clippings rolling into the season. Nix will fall outside the top 20. He struggled mightily at Auburn save for a few games. And his first game at Oregon against Georgia was pathetic. He only excelled against sub par PAC10 competition which isn’t a real conference.

I can’t believe NFL coaches haven’t figured out they should change the setting to beginner mode before every game. If I was a NFL coach I’d do that every time, and never lose plus my players would lead the league in EVERY statistical category! NFL coaches are so stupid.

I’m not really sure what your point is with this? Have you ever heard of an option route? I’m not going to explain it…google it. There was also a guy named Mike Martz that designed an offense where Kurt Warner would throw the ball to an open space on the field and one of his WRs (Bruce, Holt) would find that space vs running a specific route. The real game isn’t like a video game where the players run exact routes and the WR with a 99 rating always catches the ball when he’s covered by the DB with a 76 rating as long as his energy level is above 80%.

Dude, this is all the media of any kind cares about anymore. They make such a big deal out of things that they think makes them look good as you said. The vast majority of people in this country don’t see any inequality in individuals based on ethnicity or spiritual beliefs, but folks still love to stir the pot and it’s insane. If players want to take a knee to make a statement about years of oppression, then good for them. That’s their right as an American. If you’re a sports reporter, then just report on sports….period. Gibbs. I get the whole WR vs RB blah blah. It’s a pass happy league, and finding catches is cheap even late. Take the stud at what’s become a thin position for studs. Those who have jumped off the RB bandwagon have done so because they aren’t good at identifying the RBs that are in the position to be elite. Hence the reason I got D Henry with the 24th pick last year. Take Gibbs.

I wish teams made players wear the jersey numbers according to how they rank from best to worst on the team, 1-53. That would make it easier for me to set my lineup every week.
