Cam put up arguably one of the best single season college seasons ever as far carrying his team to a national championship both throwing and running the ball. He would completely take a game over. The LSU game, 4th qtr was mind blowing. People expected him to be a bust because they didn’t trust his passing, and it was only one season. I see your point, but I don’t think Cam is the comparison here.

You really can’t blame Darnold. He’s the fourth 1st round QB the Jets have ruined in the 2000’s. Let’s all be thankful they helped cry baby, look at me Rodgers flame out his career this year.

I’m sure I don’t have to go into a long tirade about how bad coaching ruins good QB prospects. Or how the right situation / coaching staff can correct that. Mayfield comes to mind…. Trevor has flashed the talent, and I wouldn’t throw the baby out with the bath water just yet.

This does make sense. And if Montgomery is gone, I’d expect them to bring in another complimentary back. This makes sense for Gibbs. His season at Bama, he got nicked up a bit. I remember how odd it was that Bama wasn’t using Gibbs as a workhorse towards the end of the season the way they’d traditionally done with their lead backs. It made me a little cautious with Gibbs because I wasn’t sure if he could be a workhorse in the NFL. He’s been fantastic so far. This formula is working. That’s what makes it so hard for me to trust him with a high pick. So far I’ve been wrong, and missed out. Next year will be interesting.

Probably. Just like Breece Hall went top 3 in most redraft leagues this year based on how he finished last year….which was also a mistake. And just like with Breece, it won’t be me.
