Looking Ahead to Redrafts 2025: First Four Rounds
JagFan replied to Fumbleweed's topic in FFToday Board
I think this is a really good starting point. Nicely done. -

I’ve been 100% correct every time I’ve disagreed with you. But I do admire how you stick to your guns… -

They both look elite, so this seems a little harsh of a reply. I don’t think I’ve ever agreed with TBayXXXVII, but I do here. Must be a NY thing to get defensive over nothing…and where are all the Jets fans that had so much to spew back before the season when a lot of us knew exactly what the Jets were going to be with a washed up, self centered QB that quit on his previous team? Hall at 1 or 2 -
I thought this thread was about the sandwich. It is a darn good sandwich!

He did not get a happy ending to the season
-
These are players who “identify” as studs I guess
-
For example? I’d say they’re basically the same, except Stroud gives OSU the slight edge over Bama at this point.

You are dead on, it’s not these kids fault. Because they are able to display how talented they are at the college level, they are drafted high by really bad teams. To the OPs point, Bryce Young very well could be the best of the class. He’s starting to pick it up. Hopefully for him he’s rewarded by the team with more talent around him this offseason and he actually gets to develop before he gets ruined by a bad organization. How many #1 overall QB draft picks did the Browns ruin before they could develop? Baker Mayfield is a great example of what can happen when one of these guys gets a change of scenery and talent around him before it’s too late. It would be interesting to see what Young could do if he had Tua’s supporting cast.

That they definetly have. It’s a much different skill set, though. RBs have really been hit or miss, probably 50/50…Henry, Gibbs, and Ingram/Harris (to a lesser extent) were hits. You could probably argue that positions which are heavily O-line dependent for success seem to struggle more at the next level. You have to keep in mind that those QBs and RBs were playing behind NFL caliber O-lines at the college level which was a huge advantage and the primary reason for Bama’s success under Saban. They all come back to the pack at the next level. Those glory days are over for Bama now. I guess Saban didn’t want to play anymore now that EVERYONE can pay players w/o consequences. And ESPN will never let a former Saban team suffer the same fate as USC because they still can’t seem to get Saban’s junk out of their mouths!

Young is a product of an Alabama program that clearly doesn’t develop QBs. I don’t know why anyone would’ve thought he’d be any different than every other Alabama QB in the NFL…bad. Tua is the closest thing to a Bama QB that’s almost NFL caliber. Hurts has no idea how lucky he was to be run off by Saban so he could go to Oklahoma to actually be developed as a QB that could play at the next level. So no, Young wasn’t the best QB in that draft.

I could tell them they need to stop Henry to beat the Ravens…think they’d sign me?
-
If Al Davis, RIP, was still around he’d be a Raider for sure.

In my leagues scoring: Thomas WR6, Nabers WR13, Harrison Jr WR29 And I get to keep Thomas as my 10th rd pick next year…one round higher than drafted the previous year…year after next 9th…and so on. -
Waddle likely out, and Hill is questionable (will probably play), plus not a great matchup. I picked up Cooper Rush to play over him.
-
You’re just mad you didn’t think of it first.
-
Like it or not, whatever the rules are for the league are what they are…for everyone to exploit. The time to make changes to said rules are before next season starts and complaining about them in season is pointless. I once added and dropped every available QB on a Sunday morning, sending them all to waivers, so the person I was playing couldn’t pick up a QB for his QB that was marked out. D!ck move? Absolutely. Within the rules of the league…absolutely.

The Official Week 15 FU Thread. Playoff Edition
JagFan replied to Gratefulegg1973's topic in FFToday Board
Yep, sucks to know you’ve already lost your playoff matchup before the weekend even rolls around! -
The NFL has clearly scripted KC to go undefeated this year only to lose to the Lions in the SB.
-
That’s why I don’t draft a QB until week 3 waivers. That’s when the popular back shows himself!
-
Is it time to give up on Olave or Higgins? Looks like I’m going to have to bounce one to have a WR2 this week.
-
I dropped him. My guess is they shut him down vs bringing him back in 4 weeks.
-
Dude is washed up. I’ve been saying it all preseason to now.
-
I’m not sure Olave plays again. I think this is his 7th concussion across college and NFL. The league may not ever clear him to play again.
-
Yikes! Take the under, and play the run game. Wouldn’t expect huge numbers from either passing game.
