    Last Keeper Slot Question

For me it’s Tracy. Skattebo was a lot of fun to watch last year in the college playoffs, and everyone wants to root for the underdog, but he’s going to get hurt running the way he does at the NFL level. The Giants look well coached, and they are going to surprise people. Jeudy is option two, but it’s Cleveland. Just when you thought there’s no way a NFL organization could top ruining every talented QB they draft, the Browns just said “hold my beer…we’re going to ruin two in one year!”

    Waiver order ideas with sports?

I did answer your question bruh. Use college DFS. Another option to consider fun and sports related: head over to your closest elementary school, hang out on the playground until recess, then ask 12 little kids if they want to race for the piece of candy in your pocket. Creative enough for you? Wow!!!!!

Brian Robinson Jr. On The Move

BRJ is nothing more than a stash in case CMC gets hurt. That’s a better than even bet considering his history. He’s not going to take any meaningful touches from a healthy CMC who will most likely lead the league in fantasy points per game played at the RB position. You either draft him as a cuff, or as a hope CMC gets hurt. And hope isn’t a strategy. If you’re thinking BRJ will get meaningful touches with CMC healthy, you’re lying to yourself. And if you brag about drafting BRJ because of the numbers he produces because of a CMC injury, the fantasy gods will punish you.

Brian Robinson Jr. On The Move

“Christian McCaffrey's career rushing stats inside the 5-yard line show a highly efficient and productive goal-line presence, though specific cumulative career stats are difficult to aggregate from the available data. While PFF (Pro Football Focus) data highlights a 42.9% success rate (95th percentile), NFL.com Situational Stats and Pro-Football-Reference.com do not offer a direct career breakdown for this specific situation. However, his high volume of carries, particularly a career-high 15 rushing TDs in 2019, indicates his effectiveness in these short-yardage situations.“ I feel like you probably might be over thinking this. CMC all day until the wheels come off.

Nobody wants a a-hole in the locker room, much less a guy who has two. Maybe that’s why Wash traded him.

Brian Robinson Jr. On The Move

Agreed. The reason I’d put Robinson as a clear 2 to CMCs 1 is that’s Robinson is one dimensional. He is a power runner, and not a dynamic back that catches the ball well enough to keep defenses on their heels around the goal line the way CMC has been when healthy. I see Robinson much more of a short yardage back between the 20s when you need a 1st down. Not the same guy you want in the red zone unless CMC isn’t available. But this all equals the 2 back vision Shanny feels comfortable with going to war.

    Waiver order ideas with sports?

Waiver priority holds a lot of value. Not sure why anyone would not want the first waiver priority set as anything other than reverse draft order unless it’s a 100% dynasty league where you only draft rookies. But I digress. There are tons of college football games this weekend. You could simply set up a free league on one of the daily fantasy sites if your state allows college fantasy. Pick a slate and set order by how everyone finishes.

Robinson is there as the backup to CMC. Weepaws is correct. Guerrendo has an injured shoulder, and Robinson is a better talent than him. Shanahan saw an opportunity to go get a RB he really liked coming into the league in case CMC gets hurt. It gives Shanahan the insurance policy he needs to run the wheels off CMC to win games. The 49ers WR group is a MASH unit, and Purdy is a game manager that isn’t going to carry a team so how else are they going to win games except to lean on CMC? Here’s the equation for EVERY NFL coach: win games=keep job ; lose games=lose job

    12th pick strategy , am I crazy?

The ONLY way I see this strategy working is going K/Def in the first 2 rounds….aka Shock/Awe/Oops
  13. Not a “happy ending” to his career…
  14. I don’t either…but he seems to be at the moment. And he’s not the back to own in that offense. So I’m not considering him at all.

    12th pick strategy , am I crazy?

I enjoy reading these discussions because everyone has “their strategy” and some are more passionate about this topic than others…and off we go. The truth is no one is right or wrong because every strategy has worked for them, hence the reason they are so passionate about it. If there is a player you covet, and you know you have to take that player a round early to get them…then that’s what you have to do. Unfortunately the 13th pick vs the 36th pick feels much more cringy than the 121st pick vs the 144th (check my math). Ultimately you have to make your first 3-5 picks hit regardless of the position. Then you have to play the wire well because there will be impact players from every positions aka “waiver wire gems”. That’s the ONLY can’t miss strategy to this game. If you want to take one Allen or Lamar at the 12/13 turn because you know you won’t get them otherwise, there’s no reason not to. Just keep in mind you’re still pushing Daniels and Hurts to the Gibbs owner (per your example). And someone is going to wait until the double digit rounds and get May or Fields. Those two aren’t sexy, but they give you the same potential as a running QB.

Streaming Def? Draft the Arizona D

You’re probably right about Denver. I’m beginning to think the NYG might be better than most think this year. They’ve looked well coached thus far, and they have a few weapons. It comes down to Russ. I really like the NYJ def in week 1 as well going up against PIT with Rodgers. Dude is done, and I’m just shocked that PIT brought him in.

Well the phantom fouls being called against the other teams defenses is worth at least 8-10 spots.

Grab a QB early in this format?

Totally agree. I took Borrow at the 4/5 turn in that mock after taking Chase at 1 overall. Two things I would probably not do in a real draft, but like you I was curious what it would look like…I did like it. My RBs suffered greatly. I liked your Bryce Young and my Trevor Lawrence picks the best. I think pairing either of them with a Mayfield/Dak/Fields you are in great shape.

Grab a QB early in this format?

I agree with waiting with one caveat: J Hurts has an ADP of 40, or early to mid 4th round. I would take him if he falls to your pick at 48, especially in this format.
