Waddle could be the steal of this draft if Hill gets moved out of Mia -

Thank you sir Etienne - straight up home pick! JK. I think there will be a RB that thrives in Coen’s offense like Bucky last year. There are two RBs on the Jags roster that fit the outside zone run scheme the best. One being Etienne, and the other being a rookie that seems to be the sexier pick. The deciding factor for me is two-fold. The rookie was plagued with fumbles in college, and needs work (according to camp reports) on pass protection. Etienne is one season removed from being the PPR RB3 in 2023, and he’s been Trevor’s RB since college…so there’s trust there. I could be totally wrong on this gut feeling, but at this point he was the highest upside, proven at the NFL level, option for my RB2. -

I’ll save my thoughts on Travis for the round seven commentary thread -

Andrews just seemed like a safe pick at this point. -

I really like the Rice pick. Regardless of the suspension, he’ll be a force when it matters in the second half and is clearly the favorite target now in KC. -

I’ll also add that I’m probably going to have to start reaching a little just to accommodate needs. -

Man, I still remember seeing Boston in that first game after he bulked up like that. He looked like an edge rusher running down the field. It never looked right to me. -

I really need a 2nd RB but not willing to reach for a guy just to do it when there’s better value at the 4.12 5.1 turn. I figure if I’m going to be weak at RB I may as well try to make that up with a top 5 QB in Burrow to go with Jamar. Now this team clearly goes as Cincy goes with 3 players from that team in the first 4 rounds. I expect them to be one of the best offenses in the league again this year. As for the Sutton pick…it was really between him and Flowers. I went with Sutton because he has very little competition for targets, he really came on in the second half last year, and I expect Nix to take another step forward this year in his development. -

I really expect that offense to cook this year. I think you’re in great shape. Nico was going nuclear last year if I remember correctly. -
Round One-Three Commentary - July Mock 2025

I wanted Jacobs at the 2/3 turn….but Mr Landry sniped me. I’m ok with starting my draft with Chase Brown (now I have both Cincy Chase’s) in PPR. I think he holds onto the lions share of RB touches in a high powered offense. As for Garrett Wilson, I may be a little higher on him than most. He’s back with his college QB and Adams is gone so I expect a good year for him in PPR formats. -

Hawkeye, did you pick out of turn? I thought Landry had 2.11. Checking before I make my picks. -

Just noticed this thread…yall bear with me, I’m figuring this thing out . I kept going back and forth between Bijan and Chase with the first pick, and I usually lean towards RBs early but I feel like Chase was the safer pick. -
Thanks Mike. It was Jeff Ratcliffe talking about it.

I’m following your lead in the July mock. I won’t have the first pick in my league, but I am curious what this looks like.
-
Is ok to jump this off early? If so… 1.1 J Chase

I’m in! Thanks for the invite, Mike. Looking forward to it.

With Coen leaving for a HC job I’d be cautious with Bucky. Pearsall is my vote for breaking out in a big way.
