    CMC

This is the age old debate every year about some player. There’s always an elite talent with red flags. The sad truth is that any player risks injury every time they step on the field. Last year the debate was CMC, hence this debate, and D Henry because of his age and wear. Sometimes the risk pays off like Henry, and sometimes risk was really worse than anyone knew like CMC. I agree CMC is risky that high, but he could outperform even the #2 pick. You really just have to go with your gut feeling, and if that’s taking CMC 5-6 spots higher than his ADP I wouldn’t criticize it. Some could argue that pushing CMC down to the back half of round 1 IS letting someone get a stud that late. I tend to lean RB over WR and I can tell you the only WR I’d consider over him is Chase. Chase isn’t going to reproduce last years numbers. Having him at #1 is chasing last years numbers, and that’s never a good idea. I personally have them ranked as Bijan, Gibbs, Saquan, CMC, Chase as my top 5.

2025 NFL Draft Profile - CB/WR Travis Hunter

My youngest son and I were discussing Jags/Lawrence/Coen/Mayfield this past weekend. We moved from Jax back to Alabama well before he was born. I took him to the playoff game in Jacksonville against the Chargers a few years ago (the comeback from 27 points down), and that was his first NFL. He’s been hooked since. Anyway, we were both a bit surprised by Bakers rooking stats… 3,725 / 27 / 93.7 qb rating. That’s fairly impressive, especially the qb rating. It made me have a little more respect for the guy…he just needed the right situation to realize his potential. This is Trevor’s 5th year, but I don’t count his first year under that joke douche Meyer. He probably set the kid back three years. Meyer may have ruined the guy. That dude enabled Aaron Hernandez to become a serial killer, yet he still gets air time on one of the college game day shows. Nonetheless, Trevor won’t ever be the generational talent he was hyped up to be. It’s been a shat show at QB in Jax since Brunell…think about how sad that is. Hopefully Coen can do for Trevor what he did for Baker.

My optimism is probably influenced by hope for my team. Coen’s history with Baker is the biggest thing I’m excited about. How Hunter is used is to be determined, but it sure feels like an even split to more Def. I do think D Brown could be a better addition than most think because he’s not a well known, but he did come on strong in the playoffs last year with Wash. One thing is for sure…if Lawrence doesn’t get it done this year I’ll have to admit you’ve been right about him all along.

2025 NFL Draft Profile - CB/WR Travis Hunter

I don’t work for the Jacksonville Jaguars organization, so I’d have to say me giving up that draft pick wouldn’t make sense in any world. And he is considered an elite talent at both WR and DB. I wouldn’t hang my hat on Tet. He was drafted by the same team that drafted Bryce Young over Stroud and Bijan. And not to nitpick, but you needed a comma between crap and idiot.

2025 NFL Draft Profile - CB/WR Travis Hunter

Ah, I think I’ve found the disconnect. Im going to type slow this time so you can follow along. Believe it or not, the NFL counts the plays the other team takes as snaps too…so by the Transitive Property of geometry those snaps count for the defense too. You simply have to add those up together. The NFL uses an algorithm for that: OFFENSIVE snaps + DEFENSIVE snaps = TOTAL snaps. Carry the 1, and divide by #5 pick and you get oops!

If I’d burnt a #5 pick on him I’d think that too. Hope is not a strategy.

I’m not sure how you can say a player that will most likely play the most snaps of anyone else on the team is part time. This may come as a shock to you, but they traded up to get the player they wanted to help the team in multiple places…not your fantasy team. You may have made a poor decision with your #5 pick…so the joke may just be on you when it’s all said and done. Good luck!

This is what I expected. I think he’ll play more DB because that’s what the Jags need more. Even if he is on the field for 50% of the offensive snaps he won’t be consistent enough to rely on. This is why I keep saying Dyami Brown is a good sleeper as the locked in #2 in that offense that will be much improved.

There’s not one today here either. There was one yesterday for the HOF game.

Not showing up on FanDuel here in Alabama either. DraftKings offers $1 best ball contests. I just looked. Good luck

If there’s anyone to blame for these players being overpaid, it’s us the fans. To take that a step further, it’s us the Fantasy Football fans. I can remember back in the mid-late 90s when FF was really taking off because of the internet. There were so many NFL show hosts that would get mad when someone would ask them a FF question. Then the attitude changed, and they started to cater to FF because it drove so many new viewers. Not just fantasy, but betting on games in general. It’s a huge market now. Think about the other folks involved in the NFL that are making enough money to pay these guys that “too much” money they are making. How does that old saying go….don’t hate the player, hate the game. By a show of hands, how many of you would watch as many games as you do, of teams you care nothing about, or even care about football at all if not for fantasy? Yes it’s a physically demanding and dangerous game they play, but these dudes are getting over because of us.
  15. 16.12 WR Dyami Brown, JAC. This was my favorite pick. He is the true #2 WR in Jax behind Thomas Jr. He started showing flashes of talent at the end of the regular season and playoffs last year in Was. Everyone is over drafting Travis Hunter. Jax had a glaring need at DB, so they got one who could also handle around 20-30% of offensive snaps with designed touches when he’s on the field. Hunter will be a week to week boom or bust WR heavily dependent on TDs. The touches just won’t be there on a week to week basis to justify his ADP. Brown will handle a full time allotment touches as the beta behind Thomas Jr in a much improved offense with Coen now at the helm that will feature a spread concept balanced with a strong outside run game. An offense that will make either Etienne or Tuten a low end RB1. The real question when it comes to the Jags offense is guessing right on which one to have. Also making Lawrence the real winner for folks drafting him late as a QB 2/3.
  16. I had a blast! I appreciate the invite, and hope to fill in again in the future if needed. Thanks all.

  20. Agreed. It’s a situation to be watched over the next month leading up to the drafts that matter. So is the Browns QB situation. My gut keeps telling me Sanders wins the job outright by mid season, with a crazy carousel to start the year. Not that I would want any of them on my roster.
  21. It has been since the 3rd round. I did not expect them to go so quickly.
