My kids all went to public school, all great schools. We chose to live in the area we did , one of the reasons, because of the schools. Kids had friends that went to other schools, private schools, not once did we ever feel like our schools were below grade.

Well how am I supposed to know what kids your school accepts or doesn't accept. I have friends with special needs kids and some have chosen to send their kids to private schools. It's a valid reason. You have not provided a valid reason, therefore the assumption is your public school sucks because of the area you live in. There is nothing wrong with that, lots of people live in subpar school districts.
