Inconsistent bunch of F*&#@N receivers
GRAPHIC VIOLENCE replied to GRAPHIC VIOLENCE's topic in A Little Help!
This is the way I'm leaning but it's almost guaranteed that the bench guys are going to blowup. This would be alot easier if Colston were healthy I wouldn't mind the job of settling on one vs finding two that I can count on. Freakin Chambers and Boldin should be easy choices! At least that was the thinking on draft day. -
Henry hasn't done much lately so I would go with Battle too.

Rivers/Cutler and Betts/Westy -- please help
GRAPHIC VIOLENCE replied to Tripenny's topic in A Little Help!
I'd go with Rivers and Betts. I wouldn't even consider Cutler and Garcia doesn't look to his running back like McNabb did in the passing game. So Westy took a hit in IMHO. The skins will look to continue to pound Betts with a young QB. -
This is some of the most F'd up logic I have ever read

Anyone else using Julius Jones on a regular basis?
GRAPHIC VIOLENCE replied to RoadLizard's topic in FFToday Board
I've got him along with Ronnie Brown and Caddilac so he's in the starting lineup every week. I would like to see him get in the endzone more too but he's at least consistent which is more than I can say for Caddy and Brown. As far as the tough matchup with the Giants I think that is going to play into Jones' favor this week. Parcells is going to expect a close, tough game and he's going to play it close to the vest. He's not going to get fancy in this one. He's going to pound the rock and control the clock. I think JJ has his biggest day this week. -
It's time to induct Micheal "The Playmaker" Irvin into the HOF!
GRAPHIC VIOLENCE replied to DAT Analyst's topic in FFToday Board
Was Irvin one of the most dominant players at his position during his playing days? YES! Was Irvin one of the most dominant players at his position all time? YES! Did he play long enough for consideration? YES! His career was cut short by injury but not until he posted the numbers necessary to be inducted. This is a big issue I have with those that say Bo Jackson should be in. He was great and would have been a lock but he just couldn't last long enough. Art Monk definitely should be in. It would be nice if they could put Irvin and Monk in the same class because it's a discrace. And to all those that point to off the field issues...OJ Simpson is in the hall! I know once you are in you are in but still! -
Decent compromise. The owner who took Colston as a TE gets to keep the player in that position if he's willing to pay the price. The fact is that nobody could have been 100% sure that New Orleans wouldn't play him at TE in some game situations. Just as nobody can be 100% sure he won't see some action in that position at some point this season. He was evaluted by NFL personnel in that position as well as WR. Troy Brown has played DB He would make a great target for New Orleans in the TE position. They happen to be weak at wideout with the departure of Stallworth so it is what it is. When the owners who carry Colston on the rosters took him he was available to every owner in the league. Fantasy football is about getting the upper hand. Some people subscribe to pay sites for insider info, some people watch every game that they can watch, some people come here and dig through piles of crap to get any advantage they can get. Accept when other owners succeed and strive to do just a little bit more.

I have him in my keeper league which is hosted on EA Sports. They removed his TE status awhile back but as long as I keep him plugged in as a TE he is eligible. I don't feel one bit guilty about using him there because that is one cut-throat league and you better bet every other owner would do the same in that league. I was just the one who grabbed him. Meanwhile I am in other leagues where I don't have him and have faced him as a TE. Hey they beat me to the punch and they deserve the right. Actually in my keeper league I am seriously considering taking the goose egg on his bye week in order to keep him there. It's not like I'll really miss the 2-3 points Gonzo would get me for that one week since he is stinking up my roster to this point. I feel for everyone in my league that passed on the guy... I really do
-
No way I feel guilty. Every week when I see him still plugged in at TE I I have him in my keeper league and they have already removed the TE option next to his name but I have him in that position so he registers points as my TE as long as I don't bench him. I'm sure that once I bench him in week seven for his bye that I will not be able to use him as anything but a TE. I'm seriously considering leaving him in during his bye and taking the goose egg for that week just to keep him there. It's not like I'll really miss the 4 or 5 points Gonzo would get me that week anyway. This is a cut-throat league I'm in where the other owners have used some shady moves to improve their chances on several occasions so I don't feel guilty at all.

Titans Haynesworth Should Charged with Assault and Suspended for Rest of Season
GRAPHIC VIOLENCE replied to ukpete22's topic in FFToday Board
He should suffer to the full extent of the law and be punished severly by the league. That was one of the most pathetic chickenshiat things to ever take place on a football field. What a complete pile of worthless crap! -
You are talking about the same guy who just quit on his team without any warning prior to the season right? Costing them the opportunity to address the position in the draft. The same guy who had to be taken to court for his team to get back the money he was paid in advance for a season he refused to suit up for right? That the guy? Real stand-up citizen there Hey genuis he was responding to the critics that were claiming that other running backs on the team (Troy Hambrick in particular) should be the feature back for the Cowboys. How did that turn out by the way? At least know the full context about what you are claiming before you reveal your ignorance to the entire board.
-
They are all about the same. They all suck. Why you ask? Because they aren't about football
-
If the Skins could play the Texans every week Brunell would be a great pickup. Sadly he has to face NFL teams the rest of the season so he'll go back to stinking up the fantasy world.
-
Joe Theisman wins hands down. The only way they could have made MNF worse would have been if they let him drag Paul McGuire along with him. God Joe is a waste of space. I think that Tirico and Kornheiser could be a pretty decent crew if they had someone other than that retard stuck between them. He's easily the worst announcer in all of football now that McGuire is gone.
-
I picked Charlie Frye up myself. He has a good arm and is making accurate throws. He's playing on a team that doesn't have a great defense and is putting him in a hole so he has to throw. His receivers aren't bad and he's putting up good fantasy numbers. I like his situation better than any of the others.
-
That doesn't sound good. No link I just heard it on NFL Network. Anybody else have more information about his condition? I may be panicking but I just offered an owner Cadillac and Chambers for Deangelo Williams and Steve Smith.
-
Alright this guy obviously broke a rule. Some question of intentional/unintentional. He should have been penalized by losing Colston and maybe getting no points for a kicker that week and that week only. But what he did pales in comparison to what you did in this situation. You should have never picked up Colston yourself and the way you went about this whole thing just sounds plain wrong. You should throw back Colston as your own punishment and voluntarily remove yourself as commissioner. You should not be the commissioner of this or any league in view of your actions.
-
Those voices in my head. They aren't as angry when they think I am paying attention to them.
-
Amen, if none of this information shakes out to be true they should can his sorry butt and televise it for the entire fantasy world to see. I hope he has to take a job as a cart cowboy at WalMart for making claims that aren't based in fact.
-
I have the sorry bastad, thought I got a steal in the 12th round but I also knew well about his hamstring history. I think he's trying to set a fantasy football record for having the word hamstring attached to his name. He's succeeding.
-
Well that just about kills the week for my keeper team. I have Donte Stallworth and his recurring hamstring, Ahman Green sound like he's down, Julius Jones is on bye along with my starting QB and now this is confirmed. They are thinking this is something he can play through? I just don't know about that
-
Actually "scooter" I saw the show and everything this guy was indeed reported on that show. Is it all fact? Who knows since the information hasn't been confirmed elsewhere but the fact is that this "expert" did claim that Westbrook did have a serious knee condition that was essentially bone on bone and that he is experiencing and will continue to experience a great deal of swelling. So you are way off here attacking this guy for just repeating what he heard reported on television. If he's Mr. T what does that make you? Rambo?
-
That's my question. Does he even have any value as a keeper if this is true?
