I've got Jacobs and I'd keep him over Ronnie Brown. The Dolphins running game is a mess. Jacobs will be back in a couple of weeks.

Stick with the adage of ALWAYS START YOUR STUDS! Romo without question is a Stud, whereas Grossman is a dud.

Please talk me out of starting Bulger over Romo
CowboysFan replied to #1LionFan's topic in A Little Help!
Trust me when I say this is NOT a homer call, you will be glad you started Romo over Bulger. St. Louis is a mess right now. Don't underestimate the loss of Pace to the Rams' line. The Dallas passing game is as sharp as any in the league right now. Ride them til they buck ya. -
Standard scoring, no PPR. QB - Brady (3), M. Hasselbeck (10) RB - Henry (1), Jacobs (5 - keeper), B. Jackson (6), A.Peterson CHI (12), S. Young (16) WR - C.Johnson (2), Colston (4), Hackett (7), Wilford (8), T.Glenn (9), D.Bennett (11), P. Price (15) K - Mare (13) Def - Dallas (14) A little weak on the RB bench, but there wasn't much value to be had this year. Thoughts?

Thanks for the responses. I originally thought about going WR/WR since a guy in our league was in the same boat last year and that's what he did, but after reviewing last year (he kept Parker in the 5th last year), but his team didn't finish in the top 5 because he didn't have much to choose from in the 3rd for RB. I decided it was better to grab one of the good RBs left at the end of #1 and then get the best WR. I would like Parker to fall to me at #12, but highly doubt he will. As for Holt, I also had thought about picking him as the first WR, but then heard about his injury and not being 100% all year, so that's why I was thinking C. Johnson.

Drafting #12 out of 12, standard scoring (no TE/Flex). Our league rules will allow me to keep Brandon Jacobs as my 5th round pick. Here's the strategy I'm going with on Tuesday. Let me know what you think. Round 1 - RB - Parker or Bush if available, otherwise Rudi Johnson or Travis Henry. Round 2 - WR - 99% sure this will be the first WR off the board. Going Chad Johnson or Steve Smith Round 3 - QB - Hoping for Palmer, Brady, or Bulger (Manning will be gone, Brees kept by other team) Round 4 - WR - Best Available Round 5 - RB - Brandon Jacobs as my keeper Round 6 - RB - Best Available Round 7 - WR - Best Available Rounds 8 - 14 Best Available Round 15 - Kicker Round 16 - Defense

Hmm, tough call. I think I might go with Cooley because I think the Dallas secondary will shutdown the 'skins wideouts making Cooley a better target.

My gut tells me that Bledsoe will have a better fantasy value this week, knowing he has Romo breathing down his neck and the scope of Sunday night's game (vs Redskins and being a Primetime matchup, but mainly because it's vs the Redskins.) Vick outscored him by 5 points (in my league) last week and could possibly put up similiar numbers against Tampa Bay (isn't their defense about the same as Carolina?) I just have a gut feeling that Bledsoe will pull it together today. Or is it just indigestion?

I hope they continue like this. If they do, I got a great bargin since I picked them in the last round of my draft.

I saw that too and thought WTF? It was showing the fumble, but the field marker looked incorrect. You'd think living this close to St. Louis we'd get that on CBS, but no, we have to get the damn Cincy/KC game.

Finally drafted 8/30/06 @ 6th. What do you think?
CowboysFan replied to CowboysFan's topic in A Little Help!
The only backup I would have taken was Marion Barber, but he was taken early on by an owner who wanted to stick it to me (so to speak.) -
Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 K, 1 Def (TE same as WR). 6 pt rush/rec TDs, 3 pts pass TD, 1pt for 10 yards rush/rec, 1 pt for 20 yards passing. I really tried not to be a homer (Glenn was the only Cowboy that I really targeted), though it doesn't look like that. Bledsoe hung around til the 8th round. QB - Michael Vick, Drew Bledsoe RB - Steven Jackson, Julius Jones, Fred Taylor, Brandon Jacobs, Maurice Morris, Musa Smith WR - Marvin Harrison, Derrick Mason, Terry Glenn, Antonio Bryant, Travis Taylor, Hank Baskett K - Matt Stover Def - Baltimore What do you think? Leave a link to yours and I'll respond too.
