    2008 fantasy draft

No way Id pick either rook at that pick, except if the perfect team drafts them. I'm guessing a better RB choice will be there at your pick. I might pick them at your second or more likely take a rook at your 3rd pick. I don't like either of your keepers but Id probably go LJ as I favor RBs heavily. Play for now in a 1 keeper league, trade for later if needed. Face it, you could keep a kicker and possibly still win. For every AD there's many wait fors like RBush/Maroney/RBrown/D'Angelos and even SJacksons let alone never gonna be's.

    Zach Thomas

Nomad, can you please fix your subtitle so I might recognize when he does sign?

Does E. Graham have any Dynasty value right now ?

He'll be 28 during the season. I myself like him but his age hampers his dynasty value. I would be trading for this guy actually. If he was 24 he'd get all kinds of love.

    Players on the move

Of course I'd like my Pats to sign CBrown so my view is not very credible.

    Players on the move

Walker? Um, is that the flash in the pan that Favre used to throw to? Why would anyone want their team to get him unless he's cheap? I think he's toast.

    Let's talk Packers

wouldn't Jackson be the b/u RB if Grant's the starter? Am I missing something?

    Patriot Nation....

Giants out played my Pats. Thats why they play the game. Most true Pats fans are probably Red Sox fans and somewhat numb to disappointing defeats. Our Sox and Pats have given us plenty to cheer about in recent years and neither looks like it's going to stop anytime soon. I was much more suicidal after the losses to the Bears and Packers. Anyway it's the Giants Fan's day/year and I hope they enjoy it. P.S. Eli to Tyree is probably the most amazing play I have ever seen.

Congrats to the Giants and their fans.

The pass rush was amazing and the balance and execution of the GMen last night was awesome. Manning to Tyree will never be forgotten. One of the best plays I have ever seen in a Superbowl, 2 players who would not give up. Enjoy it NYG fans!

    Did Scooter die ?

Dude, you are pushing it now. When I read your latest posts I realize a few things; You don't get it or are just passively dangerous and you completely misrepresent both scooter and mkb4 and your intentions. I thought we were through but it seems you still want to go there and I think you've made up your mind...so leave. You talk about both these guys as if they were gods and I watched both rise from nothing at the time and they were flawed idols you worship. You say you're not pimping any site but you use names and bash this site every time you defend your"self". WE DON'T CARE! And you are saying WAS so you are already gone. So leave FFToday alone now. Look good luck to any and all posters over there or anywhere else. Good luck to you and your dog. Come say hi once in awhile, come lurk or post. But please don't come in here and give props to other sites whilst downgrading FFToday. I am personally not interested in your thoughts on this matter anymore because you haven't got it yet I'M STAYING and I will not sit by and have you bash this whole site because some decided to bash 2 infamous posters who were BANNED!

    Your Team's Offseason

Resigning Moss would keep consistancy for Brady, which he hasnt had in off seasons for awhile. Moss will sign Big but not too big, just to stay. (hopefully) Samual is gone and thats good for both sides. Pay an aging vet for the short term and either trade down or draft a CB in 2nd round. LB may be where they go unless they can target a FA they will outspend for. LB will probably come from FA or later picks. Trading down makes the most sense. The Pats could go any different direction with a 10-15 pick and a late first rounder. I suspect if they hang at 7 they will go either line but I wouldnt be surprised if they take the top DB. I would love them to take that stud LB and sign another. BB usually values experience heavily in his LB core though.

I watched that too and I got the same feeling.

Looking ahead to FF Drafts in 2008......

This year his name will be too big for the risk. Next year perhaps he will drop to where upside youth is scarce. Granted my strategies are often keeper influenced. Harrison no longer has his infamous high floor. His floor is ground level and his ceiling is dropping with it. If he's my 3rd WR I could handle it but you bet my next WR slot will be one of huge upside, granted minimal experience. At where he is at, an unsafe WR2-3 his trade value is very hampered. My middle rounds/depth choices are based on young upside, even in redraft, because I'll want to trade my depth for needs. This is based on a 10-12 team format. Gates is similiar in that his name is still too big. Now there are a few with him, Winslow and Witten. I'd bet gates goes first and the other are soon to follow. I wont take either. I'll take from the next tier. I can understand his rating but everyone knows he's getting old. A great list though. This is my favorite part of the year and this is where research or discussion rather, changes things. To begin understanding value ranks for next year and slotting in the rookies, off season trades are opinion educated maneuvers.

Edge, Gates, TJones, and Harrison are all guys I wont get if they are being drafted in those spots. Scary.

    Did Scooter die ?

Fumble and Boston, good to see you. After the crash new blood took over. I remember watching it and it was different. One of the guys who benefited from the crash was scoot who now was a vet who posted often, had good info backed by solid resources etc. the problem was the most active posters who rose from the ashes, like scoot, had thin skin and were breakable. They hadn't stood the test of time, had minimal backers and no resilience. I think actually that we are back. Solid posters need to use this site and grow some thick skin. If anyone wants to be one of them then they will need to avoid antagonizing. A debate can turn ugly in here but I don't really have a problem with that, thats always been the case. Its where there is no debate and it turns ugly that blemishes this place. Here's how we regain dominance: 1. Use the "ignore member" feature. For all we know some of these idiots are plants, just ignore them. 2. Avoid antagonizing and be resilient to those that do. 3. Talk football 4. Don't leave, claim ownership and stick it out. Anyone up for this?

    Did Scooter die ?

I basically agree with everything you said here including that you mentioned that you value FFToday, I know that you weren't really going this route it just propelled. Scoot was a baby and brought most on himself.

    Did Scooter die ?

See, basically this shat don't get old! In my world of keeper leagues (13 and 14 years each) the smack talk in here assists me in my quest for the gold. We play freakin' dirty and some of my firepower comes straight from FFToday. I ended up with the #1 pick last year in my 5 keeper and ADP was the obvious pick. There were months straight of backstabbing business scheming and smack talk degrading him and that pick. I was able to ignore the craps and not cave. This is simply more realistic AND valuable.

Dude, I don't care if you go out of your way or not, go recruit somewhere else! I DON'T WANT THE GUYS YOU WANT, TO LEAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET IT!!!!!!!!!! I also dont want to go to a site that recruits from Mikes site that has been through so much in recent times. It gives me a stomach ache just thinking about it! I've realized these are my boys here and I wear FFToday as my colors. MKb was most likely banned for repeatedly breaking copyright, i get all the info that he gave from my wire sites. Scoot was funny but he flamed big time, he was PART OF THE PROBLEM!! So he goes to a site that doesnt tolerate it and is welcomed????? Sorry if that seems a wee bit hypocritical. I will not fly the coop and I will not be part of the problem. I will be part of the solution. I don't post enough or begin to have enough backing football knowledge to be a power figure but I've got almost 30 combined years of FF keeper experience and am willing to get into it on any topic that might be of interest to me. Hint to everyone who doesn't like certain posters, don't leave just choose to ignore and THEY will eventually leave. "What is the Deal?" man? Mike deserves better. This is the BEST of the free sites and yes it still is! On this here website if you ain't supporting FFToday you ain't nuthin!

New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and

The "Fellowship of the miserable" has a hard time being miserable lately. Our Pats weren't very good until 2001, Sox were cursed until 2004 and at least for me the Celtics were painful since Reggie Lewis. I am a fair weather Celts fan in that I stopped watching the NBA. This team has changed that. Now if only the Bruins could get new ownership and a cap master like Pioli we'd be onto something. They havnt been good since the playoff appearance streak ended back in the old Garden. I hated the Cowboys during their dynasty and I recognize that non-Pats fans are turning that way. I wore my Pats hat through the 80's and 90's and I won't take it off now. I almost took it off when Orthwain was rumored to be moving the team to St. Louis. Thank you Bob Kraft and John Henry Group.

    Did Scooter die ?

No you don't have to defend FFLW unless you are there. Look you are advertising. Its as simple as that. I go to other sites and I never post about them. FFToday has gone through some big changes since the crash. At first there was nobody, then it picked up, then it was full of trash (like every year at that time) and now that the season is over its getting better again. I've gotten sick of a few posters recently and I just "ignore" them. Chose the option it really works. As a Pat's fan I got fed up with newb (though I wish it wasn't the case because his fantasy talk is decent) I just clicked ignore. Sometimes I choose to read a specific post by PDatt and its my own fault if i'm disappointed! Its the offseason and FFToday is as good as ever. If you can't handle it get out! New vets are establishing themselves, just like scoot and mkb in the past. Ive learned through the years (and this is not my first handle) that the entertainment factor outweighs the frustration of the dork posters. There's really nothing that happens anywhere else thats different except bannings and for that reason I find this site more realistic. I do go to a couple other places but I don't like it there as much. I think one reason is that this place has attitude. I also think if my league mates were here they wouldn't survive without me recognizing who they are. If FFToday members would just ignore the posts that are fishhooked then lack of reaction would move the attention mongers to better things. I feel at home here and I might visit other spots but I come here most. FFToday, my main squeeze!
  24. Gotta book it to pull it off correctly, safely and awesomely. They'll simply call it off if they lose it. I don't think they are going to and the New England area is going to go crazy if they win. Pats #1
