Any chance we could expand rosters to 25 as part of this change?
-
Just to follow up on my reason for voting, as the worst team in the league over the past two years my glaring problem was, and still is, I don't have any superstar players. From my perspective, my only way to counteract the LT2, Mannings, Culpeppers and Holmes' of the world, I need to field a large group of solid players that will chip away at the disadvantage I'm put at. That's my logic for the yes vote, and while I agree I may have chose differently in the initial draft, my picks in the latest rookie draft would have been no different if this was proposed a few months earlier. Just my 2 cents.

I like any idea that makes this more realistic to real football and puts more players on the field each week. Puts more strategy into waiver wire activity, byes and trades as well. With 24 man rosters we can afford to put another guy into play. I vote yes.

Just really looked at this, to see how far off a lot of these "consenus" picks were. Some of the picks in round 3 are just comical, and at the time they are what we all would have agreed were the way to go. Just goes to show that as much as we study up on this game a lot can change in two years. Also noticed I only have 4 players remaining on my roster that I selected in the original draft. Yeah, I'd say I didn't do very well in that draft.

Tough trade to evaluate right now. If Captain Lou can parlay those 4 picks into two productive players the tables could turn, but W4MVP definetly upgraded at QB and WR. (also think the way he roster looks those picks were more than expendable, since they can all run the risk of being cut next year) I took some critism for trades about a year and a half ago because I put a real premium in the 2005 draft picks. I thought this draft would be stacked and I think I benefited from that calculated risk. Captain may be doing the same. I will say that I don't see what people like about Rivers, his delievery remind me more of Dennis Eckersley than Dan Marino.

Let's hope. If half of these guys pan out to be the players they can be I'll be happy. I put a lot of stock into this draft and acquiring picks for it, just hope it works out. Have to think that my future is much brighter than it was 6 months ago.

Like the Engram pick. Actually thought long and hard about him as well but with DJax and Hasselbeck already on my roster I thought it would be a Seattle overload. Big plus that you know he's a starter and the where a lot of these rookies will fit into their teams is a question mark. Good pick.

Old injury. In May he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery to clean out the effects of an old ailment. He'll miss some mini camp stuff but I do like his talent. Titans knew about all of this when they drafted him so I'm not worried.

I'm out until later, will check in tonight. Enjoy round 3 -- MOZ will finally be on the board.

Sorry bud but I'm 99% sure we want the same guy.
-
Thanks bud, based on how it looks I should get my picks in by 4.

Well, with Rothlesburger I had no intentions of picking a quarterback this year, but Rodgers slipping this far suprised me so much I couldn't pass it up. In the other dynasty drafts I've seen he's been a late round 1/early round 2 pick. He kid has skills, he was being talked as the potential number 1 pick in the draft for a reason, and could be a bigtime player in the future. Wasn't what I needed, but his upside is much higher than the other guys left in the player pool
