Darnold isn’t gonna steal too many rushing tds, JSN is elite but neither he or Kupp are huge bodies as far as redzone monsters. It’s a decent setup for Barner to have some more somewhat tough to predict spike weeks. I like and started him last week as dynasty TE premy tight end as a what the heck flex Not quite ready to rely on him as an every week plug and play redraft TE yet

AJ Barner is a dude. The TE cheat code is being on the field for a lot of snaps and being able to pickup some YAC. There is also the Ertz/Ferguson PPR scam route but in general for the true TEs this is how they break out IMO. If anyone has a chance to be Kraft lite it’s Barner. Meat and Potatoes TE that out produces the flashy guy drafted before him

TE 22 might have been the right read. While he was TE 14 in week 1 scoring he’s unplayable. so if the cost of drafting goedert was missing out on Juwan Johnson, Kraft, Fanning ect this was a poor pick investment I take my lumps and learn from the process

Bowers is real life great. It’s just sometimes tough to run back these elite TE rookie season as we saw with Pitts/Laporta. They have a lot of new weapons and Geno doesn’t have to just pepper Bowers like some more limited qbs they had last year did

I had a chance to buy AJ Brown in dynasty after week 1 and the cost was Courtland Sutton/the now legend of Tucker Kraft. I made the deal bc real life I think AJ Brown is a top 10 maybe top 5 WR talent in the league Hope he get and Hurts get going soon

It was kind of questionable to me that everyone was so back on board. we’ll see. I took Archane/Henry over him in our IBL league whether that works out or not at least they seemed more healthy and had close to same upside

I knew the PPG averages would be brought up. While Brown averaged about the same PPG he went from wr 7 in PPG in 2023 to wr 13 in 2024 in PPG. He finished outside the top 12 largely bc the position overall increased but also bc eagles took foot off the gas. The point about the raiders not being good enough to is fair. But I do wonder if the TE position as a whole Hockenson without addy, Warren ect gets some more top producers and Bowers against his peers isn’t as much a difference in 2025 as it was in 2024. who knows. Bowers is great.

Bowers is going to be great but just as adding Barkley kind of capped AJ Browns ceiling I do wonder what adding Jeanty, Mostert and now a washed Cooper will do to Bowers overall ceiling. As others mentioned offenses and be great and someone can still have more a Laporta overall down year
