Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints. Both have defensive coordinators with aggressive, attacking schemes. And both have quality returners. Both also drafted/acquired free agent defensive players to address their immediate needs.

There is talk of using Gio out of the slot some (part of the reason they let Hawkins leave), so I expect his catches to increase!

Here is a longshot who may be worth considering, especially with Moreno injured (although I only considered Moreno as a one-year stop gap anyway). I grabbed Damien Williams awhile back as I thought he fits well in the new offensive scheme plus would have little to overcome competition wise over the next two years. Today's article seems to validate my hope... http://www.thephinsider.com/2014/7/16/5904081/miami-dolphins-training-camp-scouting-reports-rb-damien-williams

Most fantasy points in PPR league for Tennessee, Greene, Sankey, or McCluster?
Patmos replied to vrabinec's topic in FFToday Board
I'm thinking Dexter McCluster might be worth a roster spot... 4.53 speed, 37.5" vertical, 20 reps on bench, and an elite agility score of 10.79. In addition, his coach immediately paid at the top of the RB market for him (3 years @ $9M, $4.5M guaranteed) when free agency opened. And, he is projected to play the same role that last year produced a combined line of 69/974/8 for a final RB ranking of RB13. -
Fitz without question. Remember that Wayne was moved all over, and Luck locked in on him. That won't happen this year, plus they will run a lot more this year as well as use their TEs more. Keep in mind too that the Colts will employ a pass-catching fullback as well (which may negatively impact Dwayne Allen too). Even if Arians were still there, I would project a drop off. Now that Hamilton is running the offense, I think it will be a significant drop off. Last year, Wayne was the WR4 weeks 1-12. He was WR36 weeks 13-17, and that was with still getting 10+ targets per game, something that I don't think is sustainable in the new scheme.

They are really close, but I would lean toward Alexander with the better QB and WR8 production weeks 10-17 over Shorts and his QB situation (keep in mind Shorts has had several concussions, so nobody on this list is clean).

Ray Rice to be pushed heavily by Benard Pierce...do you believe the hype?
Patmos replied to CornKobb's topic in FFToday Board
Remember, this is just coming from one local guy. I wouldn't put much into it, but I wouldn't be crazy about it if I were a Rice owner, either. -
Given that the victim's girlfriend and Ahern's girlfriend are sisters, and given the open body in close proximity to Ahern's house, I lean heavily toward the theory that the killing was a message sent from a rival drug dealer type. It seems very plausible to me that the destroying of evidence was to cover up the drug trafficking efforts rather than the murder. Regarding the Florida incident, it is highly plausible that Ahern pointed the gun at the guy and the guy went to knock the gun away from his face, it went off, grazing the guy's arm and then hitting him in the face. I'm no left-wing liberal, in fact just the opposite. However, I do think we need to define both extreme ends of the spectrum of possibilities before calling the guy a murderer or accessory to murder. No gun yet, right? I'm also no fan of Ahern, and I am definitely not advocating that he did nothing wrong, but murder seems a stretch based on what little evidence has arisen. This case should continue to be interesting until all the facts come out (I'm guessing Ray Lewis is thinking "deja vu all over again").

Gordon only misses TWO games (loses 4 game pay checks)

Not a fan of Edelman or Jones, but I agree with everyone else on your list. Be aware though, that in a recent dynasty startup Maclin went at 7.03, Shorts at 7.04, and Brown at 9.02 so Maclin and Brown are going two rounds earlier.

He put him at 13 http://www.fftoday.com/articles/orth/13_pma_rookies_11_20.html

They didn't dump him. He was contemplating retirement and just recently said he would like to come back. Detroit wants him back, but not at Hanson's asking price. And Akers was injured last year...the year before he was unbelievable.

2013 ROOKIE SKILL POSITION FANTASY PROSPECTS
Patmos replied to madd futher mucker's topic in FFToday Board
"I could see Utah State's Kerwynn Williams, a 5' 9" 195 bundle of speed and quicks getting lost in the sea of 3rd tier RBs and make it down to 4.02. i'm a believer in the kid as a guy to take a chance on late in your rookie draft." Hey Matt, I wouldn't count on Kerwynn Williams making it past 3.05 You could beat me to Mike Ford with the 4.02 (I have the 4.05)... -
2013 ROOKIE SKILL POSITION FANTASY PROSPECTS
Patmos replied to madd futher mucker's topic in FFToday Board
RE: Mike Ford, the mystery man. Obviously tested great. Here is a quote I found regarding him: "But Ford never completely grabbed the starting job and held on tightly. He was probably the fastest of the LSU backs last season, but didn't block as well in pass protection, struggled as a receiver and also had fumble problems." If he is still there at 4.05 I will gladly take a chance on him, but not before... -
2013 ROOKIE SKILL POSITION FANTASY PROSPECTS
Patmos replied to madd futher mucker's topic in FFToday Board
"I'm a bit concerned with finding out what happened to Ray Graham. Something was not right. He didn't have near the explosion at the combine that he showed at the Senior Bowl. The guys with the really fast times (Knile Davis, Tav Austin, Marquise Goodwin) didn't move up my preliminary rankings all that much. Davis has straight line speed and doesn't play as fast as his 40 time, and I already knew that Austin and Goodwin have world class speed, so what was new?" "Graham- I noted the same above although I didn't think he was that explosive at the Senior Bowl and though I like his running style he has fallen completely off my board at this point. I would love to hear if something was wrong with him physically but that would be a case where he should not have participated in the drills. My fear is that guys like Lacey do not participate in drills due to agents advice (rather than a true injury) because the time they would likely run could only detract from their draft stock. Guys like Graham do not have the same top notch advisors and it may have really cost the kid big-time. He could be exactly the type of tough, smart, hard working football player that my system whiffs on but it is what it is for now." Graham is a year removed from an ACL surgery. In the "old" days, the thinking was that it would take two full years to recover. AP and J. Charles have changed our perception on recovery time. I would consider Graham in the 3rd round of a rookie draft, and plan to put him on taxi for the first year. -
I haven't been able to access the site through Google Chrome for awhile due to the malware - but I just open Internet Explorer and I can access it right away. Nor super convenient, but not bad.

"We all know he has a white fiancee. Then there was all this talk about he’s a Republican" Wow, just wow....all this guy is doing is demonstrating his own personal ignorance.
-
That first trade was stealin' - I think you are going to have to let the other guy win the next time you two trade just so you can sleep at night!
-
Often the backup QB comes in and throws to the backup WR, as the backup WR is the one the QB is most used to throwing to.

Who's the idiot who dropped him for Brandon Bolden?? Oh wait, never mind...

"Green is likely too small to ever be a 100% (or close) snap count player." Good discussion here. I miss these types of discussions, as it seems we have all clammed up so as not to give away our strategies! I am somewhat surprised by this quote though, since Virgil Green is 6'5" 250, same as Housler, Jared Cook, and J. Finley, and same weight but taller than V. Davis. FYI, my plan is to put him on the taxi squad, but I can't decide who to move up. Any suggestions? I'm down on Pead but can't give up on him. Gordon could be productive this year, but I'd rather keep him for a full 3-years of production. And I think DJ Williams has a decent shot at replacing Finley next year...
-
Another perspective....(1) Green is a far-superior athlete to either Tamme or Dreessen, (2) He is a 2nd-year TE who was suspended for the first four games, so he has high potential upside, and (3) he got twice the snaps of Tamme last week and out-produced Tamme. Maybe it was because Tamme was slightly injured, maybe it is because Green is beginning to come on as a player. The combination of talent and opportunity seems like it would be worth a flyer in dynasty.

Hakeem Nicks (knee) says he's "a lot healthier now.""I feel like I finally got over the little hump," Nicks said after getting in a full session in Wednesday's practice. "I feel like I got back to myself a little bit. I feel like I was getting in and out of my routes and having that full confidence back." Eli Manning confirms he "saw a different burst" out of Nicks Wednesday. "He was running well, running better." Nicks has a tough Sunday matchup in the Cowboys' lockdown secondary, but is rapidly trending back toward every-week WR1 status. Oct 24 - 6:03 PMSource: New York Daily News

I have to call you out on this comment, Redzonehog. FrozenBeerNuts is a good guy. I can vouch for him, as I play in a league with him. Why trash somebody simply for stating his opinion? Let's have a little more class and consideration, please.
