Get the 36" with the lid. Season it correctly prior to use and clean and oil it after every use. I've had mine outdoors for a few years now. There's some rust issues on the frame but it'll clean up with a wire brush and a little Rust-Oleum. They're awesome for breakfast, smash burgers, smash tacos, steaks... You name it. I recommend the 36" because you can keep the far right (or left) burner off and move faster cooking things over to that side to keep them warm. But I suppose you can do that with the smaller one too.
