Yeah. He'd previously left his service weapon in a public restroom. Is that the caliber of person you want guarding the Capitol? He was clearly incompetent and, coincidentally, the only one to fire his weapon that day. -

He should never have been there in the first place. Notice how none of the competent officers fired their weapons? Think for yourself. -

No, I was merely reminding some of you how America began. We are a country founded by rebels. There are still a few among us. J6 was just a dust up. -

Or, it wasn't an insurrection. You're welcome to your fantasies but don't expect the rest of us to play along. -

It's pretty scary when a few angry citizens can almost overthrow an entire government with their bare hands. 'Merica. -

She was peacefully standing outside the door when she was shot. And she was shot by an incompetent idiot who had previously left his loaded service weapon in a public restroom. He should never have been there that day because he should've been fired. -

Got a problem with the government? Take it up with the government. Don't riot, vandalize, loot and burn down private businesses or assault, rape and murder innocent civilians. -
Sexy? I hadn't noticed. She's a very intelligent and talented meteorologist.

That's what I was thinking at the time. Hopefully I saved some luck for COTA!

We need more like her to come here to do the weather reports Americans won't do.

Miller lite is dog pisss. I wouldn't drink it if it was the only beer available and it was free. -

Homeowners draining 401k accounts to pay mortgages.
5-Points replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
Real estate is finite and, as such, it appreciates in value. In 1972, a federal minimum wage job got you around $14 per day. Today, the same federal minimum wage job gets you about $140 per day. Obviously minimum wage hasn't increased at the same rate as home prices but people working minimum wage jobs aren't supposed to be homeowners. Which is why the government needs to get out of the home loan business. ETA: re: my point about moving somewhere more affordable. When I got married, we were both working in Silicon Valley. We wanted a place in Fremont but we couldn't afford what we wanted. We could've sacrificed and got a condo, but that wasn't what we wanted. So we started looking outside the area. We were priced out of several areas we looked at. So we moved farther out. We finally found a place that had what we wanted and wouldn't break the bank. So we bought it. We dealt with a 2 hour (one way) commute for quite a few years while we looked for jobs closer to home. Fast forward to now, I work for the best company I've ever worked for, making more money than I ever have, with a 15 minute drive to the office and my wife works from home part time. People need to make sacrifices to get what they want if they want it bad enough. -

People weren't pulling down $250G's for running a business back then either. Wages were much lower as a rule. Therefore everything was cheaper back then, including houses. Sh!t, gas was about .50/gal in '72. It's all relative. -
