Is it possible that the Lions sent two players over to the ref and had a third player run in at the last second to try to confuse the Cowboys, somebody reported, the ref thought it was one player when it was, in fact, another player, the ref heard who he thought reported and declared THAT player as eligible to the defense? You can't have three OL declared eligible on a play. The Lions got cute trying to confuse the Cowboys and instead, they confused the ref. Or the ref heard Decker declare his eligibility, acknowledged it, reported it to the defense then flagged him for it afterwards. Which makes more sense?

Aikman is a commentator. He was speculating. I want audio of Decker saying "reporting" to the ref. Otherwise this is all just speculation. Look, I'm a Cowboys fan. If Decker reported and the ref missed it, that sucks and I'd be pissed if it was the other way around. Some of you seem to be suggesting that Decker reported, the ref heard him, acknowledged it, reported his eligibility to the defense, then threw a flag on him. Does that make sense to you?

If he reported, the ref didn't hear him. If he did, he would've declared him eligible to the D. He didn't. What's the problem?

Their running game is nonexistent. The run blocking is pathetic. They have to throw to move the sticks. If not for the D, they'd be middling at best.

Zeke was the running game. Pollard was the change of pace back. They need a lead back if they want to go deep into the playoffs. What they have now won't get them there.
