I don't understand your disconnect. I've said repeatedly that I know why people pay former potus' to speak. It's not because they think they're brilliant. It's the novelty of having a former potus speak. Biden's ability to speak is rapidly deteriorating. His future status as a former potus is irrelevant. The man should be in hospice now. He won't be able to give speeches in the not too distant future. Biden has not made an independent decision since he was inaugurated. He has been told what to do, when to do it and what to tell the American people about why it was being done. He was told to run for reelection and he will be told when it's time to step aside. All he wants is a bowl of tapioca and a nap.

I understand why former POTUS' get paid to speak at events. But they have to be able to actually speak. Biden can't read a teleprompter, let alone speak off the cuff. W can. Nobody is going to pay to hear marble mouth, senile, shitshimself daily Biden say or do anything when he's no longer potus. Joe isn't making the decision to run again. He's being told to run again. His ego doesn't come into play. His family is trying to squeeze every penny they can out of him before he croaks, which doesn't appear to be too far down the road.
