The competition rib thing gets me. I tend to like my ribs cooked slightly beyond competition guidelines. The flavor is what gets me excited more so than the bite through.

I’d like to think is a matter of preference.

I’ve notice something interesting about Frozenbeer and ima90’skid.. they both are crypto pumpers and both use the word based in the same context. Hmmmmm.

We used to vacation in LBI until the weekly rental went from $8,500 to $18,000 in 2 years. There were signs all over for the BEST EVER and GREAT Jersey corn and we got suckered for a few years until we realized the taste wasn’t as good as we get at home.

Cucumber, onion, tomatoes and jalapeño cut into pieces and lightly tossed in Olive Garden dressing with a dash or red wine vinegar is a common side in our house during the growing season. And PA has better sweet corn than NJ.

Smoked a shoulder last weekend on the Green Mountain with hickory smoke. The only 2 ingredients on the entire shoulder was salt and black pepper. Phenominal!
