And I will still say it’s stupid if someone tried to blame him for-let’s just say-Trump’s covid response. Or if he tried to take credit for the vaccine. That’s really not within the scope of their powers. But I get your point, people are stupid and will place blame/credit on whomever was in the office. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I blame the Democrats more for letting this go on. But I blame Biden the most. Pence did run for POTUS, he just isn’t now. And I’d say the same thing about it as I’m saying now.

I agree that if there had been time for a primary, she most likely wouldn’t have been the choice. But she was on the ticket w/Biden, so she would have been next in line. I don’t love her, but I also don’t hate her. I think she does well when she goes into prosecutor mode, but damn if her voice doesn’t grate on my ears. I also think she’s better than most here are giving her credit for, but that’s not really saying much. She’s done a pretty good job with the short time she has. I’m sorry, but we will have to agree not to agree on blame. If Biden really is incompetent at this point, you put duty over an easy layup. So, that makes me think that maybe the situation isn’t as dire as was portrayed. He still has a few months left, why not force him out now? I’d think they could easily invoke the 25th if they needed to. Well, you can be tired of the rhetoric all you want, but the VP job is mostly ceremonial. She shouldn’t get credit or blame. No one is blaming Pence for Trump’s blunders, nor do they give him any credit, either. And no one expected when he ran for President that it would be a continuation of Trump’s term if he got elected. They are free to chart their own paths at this point.

There is actually some debate surrounding this. 1 Dem and 1 Rep strategist seem to think the GOP is flooding the zone with crap polls. Apparently they did it in the 2022 midterms, as well.

Just finished watching it. Some of you guys are completely unhinged- it wasn’t nearly as bad as some are making out. Brett did a good job of trying to pin her down, although I didn’t appreciate how he repeatedly cut her off in the beginning. She dodged some questions, for sure, but she definitely didn’t come off as incompetent, FFS. I do wish she would have been able to say she owes those mothers an apology, but she’s in a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation. That kinda applies to most of those questions. As VP she shouldn’t really be throwing her boss under the bus, so what good answer can she give? Not that any answer would be good enough for Trump fans. I think her biggest flub was misunderstanding the clip that Brett showed w/Trump. Which by the way, he kinda dodged a real answer there as well. At the end, Brett was nodding along-I wouldn’t be surprised if he secretly votes for her. J/K

What a very well thought out reply. I really appreciate the time you put into this. I’m sorry the thought of Kamala running our country makes you sick. I don’t share your views on this. Yes, it would have been optional to have a primary, but for various reasons- Joe’s stubbornness not to leave, left them where there were. And let’s not excuse the role that Republicans played in this, as well. If the Democrats are guilty of not being forthcoming with his cognitive decline, don’t you think they share some of the blame? Hard to believe they didn’t rally harder to get him out either, but instead, they relished the idea of running against him in his state. Yes, she had a less than stellar 2020 run. In my opinion, she made the mistake of positioning herself too far left and leaning on the then current social issues that ultimately were unpopular. They also came off as phony considering she was an ex prosecutor. I do feel that she is much more aligned now with her values. Her job as vice president is not to set policy. It’s her job to support Joe Biden. I think most people understand that and that’s why she’s being given a clean slate. I am willing to at least give her the benefit of doubt and see what she can do. Yes, I do believe that Hillary must be dying on the inside, but kudos to her for putting it all aside and pitching in.

My official prediction: I think the race will break in Kamala’s favor somewhere in the 10-7 days before the election. The majority of the swing states will go her way. Either 6-1 or 5-2 Democrats outperform the polling numbers once again. Please add as many as you like. I will preserve them for the official record.
