Create enthusiasm within the base and suppress the enthusiasm of the Democratic party. Number 3, IMO could easily backfire. D’s very may well have a higher turnout if they think they are losing. It may also give cover to the sane R’s that didn’t really want to vote for Trump, to sit this one out. Feel free to all you want, but this is exactly what was behind the "red wave" of 2022 that failed to come to fruition.
