Kids with severe disabilities are expensive, especially if you are not poor enough to qualify for assistance but aren’t wealthy enough to comfortably pay for it. And unfortunately sometimes insurance is insufficient. And at the end of the day, what I think about it is irrelevant. I’m not the one in their shoes nor am I responsible for their choices. Stop it. Most late term abortions happen because of a medical necessity-either the health of the mother or a severe deformity is involved. Sure there may be a few that happen unscrupulously, but that is not the norm.

I don’t necessarily disagree. I’ve already stated that both sides are playing politics with the definitions surrounding this issue. Dems are making a big deal out of the D&C side and Reps are with late term abortions. Common sense is no where to be found.

All 1st term surgical abortions are considered a D&C but not all D&C’s are abortions. It would come down to how the law is written and how it is interpreted and whether or not they have exemptions written into them for this. Both sides are playing fast and loose with the language and I can see how this could be a legal nightmare for the doctors involved.
