Section 230 ultimately was never revealed. Speech was censored on social media at the direction of the FBI and the government. That is a fact. Now you can point to section 230 saying it's their right. It is, but it doesn't change the fact that speech was censored that ultimately harmed Americans.

Good reference. I agree it is dangerous to withdrawl protection for platforms on what their users publish. That should not happen. Why Trump pushed for it though was because the election had been tampered with, and the social media platforms who were favoring one side over the other were going to get away with that favoritism. Freedom of speech is vital. So is election integrity. Was it the right way to go about making sure information related to election tampering was allowed to be equally presented from both sides? Probably not. At that point he was desperate to prove his case. It was the fastest way to get results as he saw it. I already know you will call BS on election fraud. You say the right is filled with misinformation. There is some, of course, but no one has every answer exactly right. I keep seeing that the liberals on here don't follow MSM, but their beliefs and views somehow mirror MSM almost perfectly. What they say is misinformation is always the same thing MSM says is misinformation. The liberal misinformation previously claimed vaccines were safe, the Hunter laptop didn't exist, Joe was cognitively fit, Jan 6th wasn't an inside job etc. Liberal voters unanimously agreed with these things, yet they have been proven to be true. Why aren't liberals more concerned that the MSM they claim they don't follow matches their belief system almost perfectly?

This is the answer right here. Liberals didn't have this issue when the rules of the platform favored their party. The rules of the platform favor no party in this election. They can't see that's a major W. But they typically want restrictions on speech so long as it's their party doing the censoring.
