How many wimmens have you "devirginized"
TheNewGirl replied to Cloaca du jour's topic in The Geek Club
HS boyfriend said he was a virgin, but I never believed him. -
I hope you heal quickly. Had a cortisone shot in my shoulder a few years ago and it seemed to help, FWIW.

California girls' track athlete opens up on losing 1st-place title to trans competitor
TheNewGirl replied to jbycho's topic in The Geek Club
It's happening, despite being "universally agreed upon." Therefore, it's more believable than not to a lot of people. AND...the guy running CA is likely up for 2028 - so this will just continue. -
California girls' track athlete opens up on losing 1st-place title to trans competitor
TheNewGirl replied to jbycho's topic in The Geek Club
If this keeps happening, it just pushing some folks more right. No one seems to care A LOT until it happens close to home or to their daughter. Doesn't seem to be an issue with transmales, though, only transfemales playing on girls teams. -
Thank you, I appreciate this.

Ok, Gutter. I'll stop. Whatever you say.

Same with my mom. Prior to this, she was a healthy 68 year old woman, did a half marathon the year prior. After vaccine, she's had several strokes and is now unable to communicate at all, can't use her arms or legs, completely bed ridden and eating pureed food. No cause found for her strokes; no heart issues, no blocked arteries, no a-fib, nothing. Their doctor didn't even bother to look into it as there is no way to really do that at this point. My BIL had a serious pulmonary embolism shortly after his vaccine; otherwise a normal healthy 53 year old working on a farm. Found him passed out in his home. If they hadn't found him, he'd be gone. Again, no way to "test" if it's vaccine related.
-
That's good. My family had odd blood related issues shortly after they received vaccines, with no prior diagnosis or concern. Vaccine related? Not sure. I think that for some, if they know someone who was otherwise healthy and unexpected died, had a heart attack, blood clot, stroke...it's tough to argue with them about conspiracies.

Just out of pure curiosity, do you know anyone personally that's suffered side effects from the Covid vaccine?
-
Ah, ok. I am not watching or listening to anything live, so what I get is probably a few days old.
-
It might have been from last week, but I just saw it. That she had some kind of special announcement, made cameras leave and then asked to speak with each juror individually.
-
What's the risk they are concerned about in otherwise healthy people getting a vaccine that may not be needed for them?
-
Interesting how the judge wants to speak with each of the jurors privately on this case. Her bias is showing.
-
This isn't necessarily true. I am going to assume (and we know what happens when we do that) that you can work with your own PCP about getting vaccines even if you aren't high risk. I know mine does. If you are NOT high risk, wouldn't you also want to save those vaccines for those that are and really TRULY need them?
-
I am not. I am not sure that they worked, and it wasn't really on my mind at the time. COVID was very frightening when it was happening. Did I foolishly and blindly trust? Maybe. Unfortunately, they don't have a titer test that would show that we (those who were vaccinated) are or were ever immune. COVID-type viruses (flu, SARS, common cold, etc) have incredibly fast mutations - it's hard to say if ANY vaccine would work. With COVID, hindsight is 20/20 and those of you who were against it from the start would be singing a MUCH different tune if it had turned out to be like Spanish Flu or Bubonic Plague that had taken over (which lasted HUNDREDS of years).

I have had three vaccines (two first ones and one booster), and I've had COVID three times. Each time I got COVID it was different. First time, very mild only lost taste and smell. Second time was pretty bad; fever, tired, etc. Third time was moderate; not as bad as second time, but same symptoms. I don't mind getting vaccines, I've nothing against them at all. My hubs is immune compromised, so our family does what we can to protect him.

It says 65 and older and high risk groups, which includes: Pregnant Women People in care facilities And: Individuals with Underlying Medical Conditions: A wide range of conditions can increase the risk of severe COVID-19. These include: Chronic respiratory illnesses: Asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cystic fibrosis. Cardiovascular conditions: Heart failure, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathies, hypertension. Metabolic disorders: Diabetes (type 1 and type 2), obesity. Renal disease: Chronic kidney disease. Hepatic conditions: Chronic liver disease. Neurological disorders: Dementia, Parkinson's disease. Immunocompromised states: Individuals with weakened immune systems due to various conditions (e.g., cancer, organ transplantation, HIV) or medications. Other conditions: Sickle cell disease, substance use disorders, certain disabilities, mental health conditions (mood disorders, schizophrenia spectrum disorders). If you're NOT high risk, I would think that you and your PCP can talk about what's best. Just like the HPV vaccine or the flu vaccine - those are recommended for high risk groups, pregnant people, older people mostly, but not everyone gets one. Asthma is listed, Gutter. You can still get one.

Going to the home where everybody knows his name. RIP.

Yeah, my husband is the same size as Lebron. I mean, I love my big sexy man, but he ain't no Lebron.

Yup. You have to be terminal within 6 months and two different doctors have to confirm your diagnosis. Two oral requests each within 48 hours of the other in front of witnesses, one written request in front of two witnesses that you make yourself without assistance, AND you have to be able to take the medication yourself without assistance.
-
Really? THAT'S the poster you want to resurrect?!
-
We do. However, the actual person needs to provide consent three times in 48 hours; two verbally and one written. My mom has been non-verbal, can't read, write, speak, walk, etc. for over a year. But trust me, if it were an option, I am sure even she would be for it.

I am going to wager that they've known about this from AT LEAST his withdrawal from the 2024 ticket. AT LEAST. It can take up to 8 years (obviously sometimes much shorter) for prostate cancer to get to the bones. So, let's say....four in his case to be conservative. It's possible he was diagnosed right after election and they chosen to keep it on the DL, in the event he was fine. And perhaps they've opted for treatments that were less invasive to see how they worked, which is why on some days he was loopier than others...or that he took more time off than usual. At any rate, we've had presidents diagnosed with illnesses before that they've hidden from us, because of the implications it would've had on their political careers and re-election. Hiding his cancer from us, along with a dementia/Alzheimer's diagnosis is completely feasible: https://www.britannica.com/topic/list-of-US-presidents-who-experienced-chronic-helath-problems-while-in-office
