  3. Sigh. We've gone over this. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10027312/ Suicide rates AFTER transitioning from male to female actually increase. Female to male has a similar pattern before and after transitioning.

Do you guys ever get burned out?

I tried to talk about this a week or so ago, with the same people going around in circles. It's incredibly tiring and to have the TIME to just go on and on. I've limited myself to what I watch, read, and post at this point. It's exhausting.

California blocks felony charge for soliciting minors

The one guy they interviewed said that adding 16/17 year olds to the "cannot purchase for s*x" said that the bill wasn't "equitable." Tell that to the trafficked kids and their families. Pieces of shiiite all of them. And @Strike is right...this is AGAIN. The last bill, Gov Gavin had to get involved and actually push something through; because HIS party STILL wasn't voting against trafficking. I do NOT understand some people.

  16. Akin to Tiger King and Chimp Crazy, and our need to go to theme parks/zoos to see killer whales, seals, lions and tigers...what are your thoughts? These people buy these tigers and chimps, only to get hurt/killed, or find that they cannot take care of them. Sigfried and Roy? I mean, these people think they have relationships with these animals Should PETA step in more, or should there be additional federal laws that you cannot own these? How do you feel about zoos and theme parks with animals? Since the Blackfish documentary, Sea World has closed at least once park and has seen their attendance go WAY down. However. Countries like China are just NOW hopping on the oceanic parks; buying killer whales, beluga whales, and other sea life from Russia. Simply being able to own cats, dogs, hamsters, lizards, etc isn't enough for us? What do you think about non-human rights?

    Brand New Truck for $20K

The Bronco-type version in the pic is kind of cool, I'd consider one of those. It would be great for someone who just needed to commute and had another care they really "liked" for longer trips or whatever.
  20. I am going to revise my previous comment and say that I am closer to believing that feminism is higher on the list than the other issues I mentioned. Did some reading/research yesterday. And then the comment above about "black and brown countries" and how they have so many people. So, if you're actually willing to have a decent conversation about these countries, you have to look at how they treat each other socially. A lot the women don't work, stay at home to take care of the home, the children and the elderly. I work with several Indian people and they find it very odd that when a woman has a baby, there is really no one there to take care of her. In India, the mother lives with the family, if not very close by. She, aunties, and several other family members come and help. The US doesn't really have a social system where that occurs. Many of us move away from out families of origin. The US showed that this also isn't really what women want; to be the housewife-mother. Both by sending them into the workforce post WW2, and how they are treated when they try to have a career, family, and essentially try to "do it all." In the 50s many ended up alcoholic, addicted to drugs, and/or in institutions. Women wanted more than just their husband, children, and home and the "illnesses" they had didn't have a name. They do now; anxiety, depression, addiction. I know you do't really care, but the book "The Feminine Mystique" touches a lot on how society (aka men) thought that women's fulfillment would come from being housewife-mothers. Women who were truly feminine wouldn't WANT to work. Enter feminism.
