We had that for a while too, and then suddenly it was coming in clear.

My parents had the "black box" cable thing where we were getting all the channels. I stumbled upon one of the pron channels, can't remember the title. I was fairly young and didn't really know what I was watching. But I did remember the channel number for times that they were out of the house, hahaha.

What’s the first movie you saw in the theater without your parents ?
TheNewGirl replied to MikeMatt's topic in The Geek Club
I love this movie. I remember my mom and I watching it. Without my parents, double feature: Adventures in Babysitting and Inner Space. Went with a boy from school, so also kind of my "first date." I was 10. No, we didn't make out, but held hands the entire time, so our hands were all nasty and sweaty after. -
California fast-food restaurants — including In-N-Out — struggle under $20 minimum wage law

The CEO is relocating her family, not headquarters. I imagine if she finds that TN is cheaper to house headquarters, then it will move. -

Noted. But, this sounds like pretty much every man regardless of political affiliation. -

In 2023, In and Out paid between $19 and and $22 an hour, they were among the highest paid FF places here. Many kids actually want to get a job there; they pay well, they treat their workers very well, and the atmosphere is fun. My cousin's son works at one (he's 19) and he loves it. -

The Wham! documentary that Andrew Ridgley did was really good. Always a George Michael fan, he had great hair in the 80s. As a red haired curly girl, I wanted hair like his SOOOO bad. -

Wait, where's the thread that said none of this was happening or that raising the minimum wage was NOT causing job losses? -

The Governor of CA is spending $1.2 BILLION of TAX PAYER dollars to renovate our state capitol. People seem to be okay with this. It's taking over four years and costs nearly double of the original $543 million estimate. And they aren't even using gold. They spent $5.2 million on marble from Italy. Trump uses his own money and donor funds...maybe if he used taxes people would be okay with it. -
We've had a very mild summer so far in the Sacramento Valley, but it looks like August is going to kick our butts in terms of heat. I imagine we will have some fires kick up too in the really dry areas.

Haven't started watching yet, I liked New Blood, but I am not sure how I feel about them basically "bringing back" Dexter after the way New Blood ended. I have a tough time finding shows to watch that keep me interested.

Why doesn't Soros donate some of his millions to help hungry kids and victims? Or Nancy Pelosi...some of her hard earned money could go towards feeding kids. Biden probably has a nice chunk of change he can donate to victims of pedophiles. Is it only an issue when Trump or another Republican spends their money? I mean, I know he's not a favorite, but even Elon should be given cr@p for not solving world hunger, right? -

So. Much. Fraud. It's nauseating how much fraud there was during Covid. I actually wish I was more of a shittty person and was able to get in on making millions. -
Meh, semantics. Gavin wants to do away with the laws around the CA commissions because he knows that it won't redraw the way he thinks it will, he wants to draw it himself to favor a political party; this is against the California Constitution. He doesn't even want us to VOTE on anything about redistricting, he just wants to do it and say Fock Californians. They are both breaking their own rules.
-
Each state has their own redistricting laws, I have no problem when them following the laws. Unfortunately, neither TX or CA are following their own laws. My fear is that Gavin will use his ol' Executive Order power and do this. Talk about King behavior. He doesn't care about us one bit. He just wants to win.

Out of curiosity....with all of your different user names combined, how many posts do you think you have? I am not getting involved in this argument, I am honestly curious.
