Nature has a way of finding "a way." Maybe trillions on the planet isn't a good thing; another plague will wipe most of us out, and it starts again. Up to 60% of Europe's population was wiped out during the Black Plague, and took about 80 years to recover...but it recovered. Just like after times of war, more male babies are born than female for a few years; the Earth has a way of creating balance.

Season 4 just started, wondering if anyone has caught this show? Various couples go through therapy with a psychoanalyst in NY; there are straight, gay, trans couples, with kids, without kids, polyamorous couples, etc. It's incredibly interesting.

Same with my mom. Prior to this, she was a healthy 68 year old woman, did a half marathon the year prior. After vaccine, she's had several strokes and is now unable to communicate at all, can't use her arms or legs, completely bed ridden and eating pureed food. No cause found for her strokes; no heart issues, no blocked arteries, no a-fib, nothing. Their doctor didn't even bother to look into it as there is no way to really do that at this point. My BIL had a serious pulmonary embolism shortly after his vaccine; otherwise a normal healthy 53 year old working on a farm. Found him passed out in his home. If they hadn't found him, he'd be gone. Again, no way to "test" if it's vaccine related.

That's good. My family had odd blood related issues shortly after they received vaccines, with no prior diagnosis or concern. Vaccine related? Not sure. I think that for some, if they know someone who was otherwise healthy and unexpected died, had a heart attack, blood clot, stroke...it's tough to argue with them about conspiracies.

This isn't necessarily true. I am going to assume (and we know what happens when we do that) that you can work with your own PCP about getting vaccines even if you aren't high risk. I know mine does. If you are NOT high risk, wouldn't you also want to save those vaccines for those that are and really TRULY need them?

I am not. I am not sure that they worked, and it wasn't really on my mind at the time. COVID was very frightening when it was happening. Did I foolishly and blindly trust? Maybe. Unfortunately, they don't have a titer test that would show that we (those who were vaccinated) are or were ever immune. COVID-type viruses (flu, SARS, common cold, etc) have incredibly fast mutations - it's hard to say if ANY vaccine would work. With COVID, hindsight is 20/20 and those of you who were against it from the start would be singing a MUCH different tune if it had turned out to be like Spanish Flu or Bubonic Plague that had taken over (which lasted HUNDREDS of years).

I have had three vaccines (two first ones and one booster), and I've had COVID three times. Each time I got COVID it was different. First time, very mild only lost taste and smell. Second time was pretty bad; fever, tired, etc. Third time was moderate; not as bad as second time, but same symptoms. I don't mind getting vaccines, I've nothing against them at all. My hubs is immune compromised, so our family does what we can to protect him.

These include: Chronic respiratory illnesses: Asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cystic fibrosis. Cardiovascular conditions: Heart failure, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathies, hypertension. Metabolic disorders: Diabetes (type 1 and type 2), obesity. Renal disease: Chronic kidney disease. Hepatic conditions: Chronic liver disease. Neurological disorders: Dementia, Parkinson's disease. Immunocompromised states: Individuals with weakened immune systems due to various conditions (e.g., cancer, organ transplantation, HIV) or medications. Other conditions: Sickle cell disease, substance use disorders, certain disabilities, mental health conditions (mood disorders, schizophrenia spectrum disorders). If you're NOT high risk, I would think that you and your PCP can talk about what's best. Just like the HPV vaccine or the flu vaccine - those are recommended for high risk groups, pregnant people, older people mostly, but not everyone gets one. Asthma is listed, Gutter. You can still get one.
