I cannot watch him at all anymore. It just reminds me too much of my mom; dementia, Parkinson's, strokes. It's just so sad.

Well, it's all about the messaging right? So he puts out one really good presser and people get to go, "LOOK! He's fine!" And we're back on track. Smoke/mirrors. Dogs/ponies. You know the drill.

Yeah, that's what it is. Messaging. Not the actual experiences or things people have seen themselves or on actual TV/video/news over the last few years, let alone just the last few weeks. It's poor messaging. Got it.

Same. We have both our Traeger and Blackstone under a patio cover in the winter; and they are both covered. The Blackstone might get a bit of rust, but we get it hot, scrape it (or use one of those brick-like cleaners), re-season and it's fine.

She's been in a few other things too, but even in those...it's about revealing clothing and boobs. She was in the rom-com "Anyone But You" and the premise was a cute story, but it just kind of...I dunno. She tried to bring the funny, but I just didn't buy it from her acting. She's not a comedic actress. I think she's kind of type cast herself from being on Euphoria; sex starved, showing skin, etc almost too early in her career. There's not a whole lot for her to do from there. Even her SNL skits have been about boobs/Hooters. She's not going to become like a long-term Julia Roberts or anything like that. She's also tried to do horror, and it's just not....there.

This is how I feel about her too. She's got big boobs. Other wise, her face is average at best and she's kind of a mediocre actress. And yes, her eyes have something just...weird about them. But I don't see the appeal other than men loving boobs.

I am wondering why the LGBTQ crowd always speaks up when kids are involved? I mean you hear bout like drag queen story hour, but you don't see them going around to old folks homes, homeless camps, veterans or anything like that trying to get those people more involved. It's always kids.

I am not finding WHY LGBTQ folks are saying it harms them more. All I can see is: I am failing to see how punishing for sex trafficking with minors whether you knew it or not would harm those particular groups, UNLESS they are doing that. In which case, if they ARE then they deserve to be punished. Maybe you have minor LGBTQ's trying to solicit with other minor LGBTQs and that's what they are worried about? I am filling to see where these groups are "more impacted." We're talking about the sexual exploitation of children. ANYONE should be punished for it, IDGAF what group you belong to.

Is this kind of like that guy with the machete? The young kid that was transient that they made out to be a hero but he was really some kind of crazy person killer?

Good for you, beer!!!! I quit from Feb 2018 to August of 2022. went down and has continued to go down hill since then and it's been tough to quit but I keep thinking I need to...mainly for the reasons you mention. it's just not "fun" anymore and makes me feel like cr@p at this point in life. Doesn't add anything. I too find that edibles are the way to go, but more of a micro-dosing thing; too much and I get paranoid and it feels awful.

This year was the first where it was just me and the hubs; kids had parties to go to and my dad was visiting my brother. So, hubs and I went and saw my mom (she's in a care facility on hospice), set up some of our outdoor furniture by our little hilly billy hot tub pool, and just kind of hung out all day with some snacks and beverages. We didn't get fireworks this year since no kids. Had grilled halibut, hot dogs, grilled corn and salad for dinner. Wasn't online on socials (or here) at all for the entire day, it was nice.

People are only upset now because it's Trump and can/will have an effect on things going on now with him. If it were about Biden or another on their "side" , they'd be singing a different tune.

That's up to you then, I guess. But at this point we pretty much know that the vaccine did very little to stop the spread. In fact, given the number of vaccines we've had, boosters, etc. people are still getting COVID just like the common cold or flu.

I still buy a book of stamps every so often; birthday cards, thank you's things like that. I only have one actual bill that I mail in every 3 months...but that's just NUTS. A lot of businesses try and go paperless now, makes a lot of sense.

No one should have been fired for refusing the vaccine. IDGAF what kind of "role" they had. We lost a lot of great healthcare workers due to this "mandate" and they never returned to their jobs; we have a health care crisis due to that.

Hence the quotes. Nothing is free. I mean, it's free for them, but not for us.

I think you and I actually agreed on this some years back. The Dems kept trying to push all this stuff forward, not recognizing that it would indeed come back to shoot them in the foots. And now here we are.

This is their MO. Goes against their decisions and they just want them removed. Trump's impeachments that cost who knows how much over the last four years and have essentially done nothing, getting rid of House Speakers, and now impeachment of SCOTUS.
