CA Governor Ordered Everyone RTO 4 Days a WeekTheNewGirl replied to TheNewGirl's topic in The Geek Club Esp if he moves more moderate. I am not sure how that will work when he's asking tax payer money to be set aside to sue the current admin. We will see.

Bumping: New season of 1923 started, anyone watching? Can Sheridan redeem himself after the terrible ending of Yellowstone?

CA Governor Ordered Everyone RTO 4 Days a WeekTheNewGirl replied to TheNewGirl's topic in The Geek Club Yes, 2 - 4 year terms. His is ending in 2026.

Well, good thing you're well off and can afford it.

I am headed to Reno at the end of March. I'll keep this in mind. Indeed. Amen. Thanks.

I also read a lot of "Build Back Better."

I don't think he's going to be able to make it happen. And I don't think it will "improve education" if it's eliminated - but to be eliminated it takes Congress. Like a lot of the crap he's trying to do...he's going to be fought against and rightfully so.

Jeezus. He's downsizing, from what I read. He wants the states to take more responsibility. Several Pres before him have tried to do the same thing, however it takes Congress to make it happen. No one seemed to care when others tried it.

CA Governor Ordered Everyone RTO 4 Days a WeekTheNewGirl replied to TheNewGirl's topic in The Geek Club This. And he would still be terrible. His policies have been terrible for our state.

Again, merely stating what I read in an article.

I love it when people here tell me what I believe or don't believe. I merely made a statement about what I read, nothing more, no opinion at all of what I think of what he's doing/done. The only thing I think I misunderstood were the cuts to VA, and I am against those.

Can't have it both ways. Trump was complained about incessantly for four years here. How many "GOT HIM THIS TIME!!!" posts did we have?
-
I believe that's what they equate it with. He's sending it back to the states, from what I am reading.

Murderer to be executed by firing squad tomorrowTheNewGirl replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club Oof. Sounds like the worst way to go, IMO. But if he chose it....

CA Governor Ordered Everyone RTO 4 Days a WeekTheNewGirl replied to TheNewGirl's topic in The Geek Club Probably a mix of whatever; going in 5 days a week. One friend I have WFH maybe 2 days a week, but not every week. The friend I referenced above was in office 5 days a week most of the time with the occasional WFH. When covid hit tho, everyone went to WFH. And, similar to other industries that aren't state/federal, the RTO has been slowly coming back to 5 days a week. They had to know this was coming, too. Couldn't expect to WFH forever.

What is the point of arguing with Libtards?TheNewGirl replied to HB Localboy's topic in The Geek Club I have changed my position on a few things listening to :gasp: liberals, but none here. It's near to impossible at this site to have a worthwhile discussion with anyone here. It turns into name calling, and once that starts, I'm out.

CA Governor Ordered Everyone RTO 4 Days a WeekTheNewGirl replied to TheNewGirl's topic in The Geek Club Please do not mistake my posting about this as agreeing with Gavin, or agreeing with my friend. If I were asked to RTO 5 days a week to the local building I used to work in, I'd go. Asking me to commute 70 miles one way to "collaborate" via Teams meetings, meh. Not so much. My point is that it affects the very working families that he claims to protect and want better for. It's not just about being in the office and scheduling appointments. Commutes are going to be terrible into Sacramento and other larger cities. Gas prices will drown families already struggling with other increased prices in food, insurance (if they can get it), as well as other living expenses, not to mention the work/life balance that a lot of industries claim to care about.

	Thank you for the answer.

My point is...they all lie and say what they need to say to get votes. Down to the city level. Gutter, even you know how this works. Anyone who believed that eggs would go down in the first 30 days was an idiot if that was their reason for voting for him. Just like anyone who thought that Biden would "cure cancer" was an idiot. And saying that "no one voted for Biden for that reason" is VERY short sighted. Surely, one of the 82 million heard that and thought, "Gee, not having this horrid insurable disease would be nice" and cast their vote. Why has the price of eggs gone up considerably, but the price of chicken meat has not?

CA Governor Ordered Everyone RTO 4 Days a WeekTheNewGirl replied to TheNewGirl's topic in The Geek Club It doesn't allow MUCH flexibility, IMO. One day from home, which maybe allows you to try and schedule doctors/dentist/school stuff if you have it and those things are closer to your house. I think it creates a work/like imbalance for a LOT of people for sure. And the "collaboration" is false. Even in the office, people still meet via Teams/Zoom/whatever. I've been WFH for over 15 years. My work is doing away with all remote workers that aren't in a hub location, so I will likely be laid off in the next year or so. Closest hub for me is 70 miles one way.

CA Governor Ordered Everyone RTO 4 Days a WeekTheNewGirl replied to TheNewGirl's topic in The Geek Club She worked for the state, but was also married, her divorce started in 2021, maybe 2022 and she's STILL dealing with him. Her pay was a LOT less then, so she's been promoted. But still below the average for a sustainable wage.
