Correct, non-binary usually means they don't identify as male/female because they don't "feel" like they fit either one. That's why they use the they/them pronouns, they don't want to be classified as he/she or whatever. Or they use the ones like xe/xi or whatever they make up on the fly. This is another reason why I am in the camp that more mental health needs to be addressed around this; the concept around non-binary in a literally binary biological system is an oxymoron. If you tell me that your gender has nothing to do with your genitals, but then proceed to remove them and change them to the only other choice (because there are only two choices - hence binary system) it makes NO sense. But. I digress. Anyways, I do not know any two spirit people personally, since I really don't know any indigenous people - I do know one, but she and I are no longer on speaking terms. But I find indigenous tribal cultures fascinating, so I'd love to know someone like this and learn more. I don't think they should be a part of the LGBTQ+ people, I agree with the Tweets above that it's appropriation.

You need to read up on two spirit; some indigenous tribes/cultures do have a two spirit belief where the male/female spirit lives in one body and they do have a third gender name for it, some have a fourth gender. It's not a schizophrenia in their culture and it's not spirit animal. It's not the LGBTQ+ stuff either. It's very interesting, and IMO it's got nothing to do with genitals or anything like that, procreation, being born in the wrong body and the stuff non -indigenous people have done to it.

Since the LGBTQ+ crowd seems to think that they need to include all except straight/cis/hetero folk, I guess they are "allowed."

Somewhat. I was also a Latchkey kid and I do a bit of both. I tended to be helicopter-ish as they got a little older, entering the teen years, but then backed off some. I was not as bad when they were little and had a "they will be fine" attitude. I did tend to be more apprehensive about who watched them, though. We rarely used babysitters, it was mostly family and they didn't do many sleepovers. But I do know a LOT of Gen X that turned out to be very staunch helicopter parents, it was sad to see it really.

Eh, I don't think it's all MAGA garbage. Perhaps some of it. But knowing what we know now about Covid, the 6ft apart stuff and how it was "made up" and vaccine information now that it's been a few years, I am not sure that I am willing to just write it all off as "MAGA garbage." I've read a few peer reviewed medical studies about this stuff, and it's really kind of scary. Knowing what I know now about some of it, I wouldn't have gotten my family the vaccine. Is it causation? No. Is there a bit of correlation? Mmm....perhaps. It's odd that it all happened around the time that a very very large number of humans were getting a new vaccine, kind of like a large human-trial. If you'd like to call that MAGA garbage, that's cool. I don't care. I am one of those that actually reads and does research, I don't rely on the Geek Club or Tik Tok.

IMO, with Fauci and the rest of society trying to get Trump to get it fast tracked, and then Biden making it free to everyone, I can't say any of that is Trumps fault. It overlapped in a terrible time. So, if it was part cyanide and Drakar Noir, it's not Trumps fault. Covid was handled terribly by a LOT of people across two presidencies, across several states, it's' really hard to blame any one admin, at least in my opinion.
