Assuming you guys have seen this? What would you prefer your wife/daughter came across in the wild, strange man or a bear? Many people (women and men) choose bear. Because the most the bear can do is kill you. Women overwhelmingly, when choosing for themselves, will choose to come across a bear vs a strange man. reading the comments on these posts on social media (all of them) men seem to get pretty heated over the fact that women would choose a bear. Like they find every reason to argue with this, they can't seem to grasp that some women have a legit fear of being around strange men due to r@pe culture or having been through some kind of assault themselves. Thoughts? What would you choose for your wife/daughter? All things being equal - strange man or a bear? I've come across both while out on the trails, I've been more fearful of the men than the bears. The bears basically leave you alone and move on. The men...you're not so sure of what they will do to a woman out there.

Based on that, do you think someone is fudging numbers a bit to make one look better than the other? Not saying it's happening, but since it's kind of non-normal, what are your thoughts on that?

Yeah, it made me cry. Too many of those stories hit too close. Just another reason to think that if people think that being gay is a choice, being straight is a choice too...because would some of us REALLY choose men if we didn't have to? And also, please don't misunderstand me. I love men. I really do. And I understand that there are some really wonderful ones out there, but even my husband had a hard time understanding the "bear" thing. He's also 6'8" and hasn't ever had to fight someone IRL, because even other men leave him alone. I asked him that if he knows that when I've gone out running alone if he's realized that I've been followed by cars in my own neighborhood. Or that I've made turns down more populated streets because I was scared. He said he's figured that it's happened. It's just that kind of mindset of not really realizing that it happens to us... And if you personally know a dude that does this to women, tell them to knock this shiiite off. Whether it's following women, SA'ing them or whatever. It's just not cool. Another good example is if you have a daughter and you talk about her dating and say, "No way! She's not allowed to date until she's at least 30!" Why do you say that? Because you KNOW what men are like, you know what they are after and what they want out of a female. It's probably not good conversation at the age of 18, right? Talk about the future of the world or the state of the oceans and the plight of the whales. Anyways. Sometimes reading Tim's stupid political threads can be more fun than this stuff, I guess.

Then what kind of people are you asking? You can't ask for thoughts but only from specific representatives from a specific group of people; then you're only going to get answers that you want..which isn't really shocking considering it's you. Again, I am not voting for Trump based on character, just like I am not not voting for Biden based on his either. Pretty sure I've gone over this as well a billion times. What "sort of people" are you looking to respond to your "thoughts" on how the polls are going?

His trial outcome will not change my vote. Character means nothing when your constituents cannot pay their bills. If those constituents are too focking stupid to realize this, then that's really just too bad for our country.

And yet literal cities are pretty much closing down due to crime. How many business are leaving Oakland and SF due to crime? I think a couple of pages ago I posted articles about how their sales taxes have gone so low that the cities don't know how they are going to recoup that revenue. So, yeah...must be hiding something. Personal accountability for what, exactly? The facts that I personally have posted about are literally what I experience. I paid nearly $6 at the gas pump the other day. I work in a dept where I literally SEE who gets laid off every two weeks; like their NAME, sometimes it's 20 people sometimes it's 200. I live in a state where there is a law that was passed that if you steal less than $1k of cr@p you won't e prosecuted. How is that not posting about facts about crime? What exactly is being hidden about that stuff? I am not saying anything is "rigged." I am saying what I see and experience everyday. Just because YOU aren't seeing or experiencing it in your little bubble, doesn't mean it's not happening.

This number astounds me, given that my employer is layoff hundreds, if not thousands almost every month/quarter. While our CEO just gave himself another $4mm raise. Someone is lying some where about unemployment.

it surprises me how many white people are involved in these protests, you know that if Biden allows refugees to come over and terrorists REALLY start to take over and have their way, fly their flags, whatever....the white people with their purple hair and rainbow flags will be the first to go. Some of the protest groups even refused to show up on some campuses due to the fact that there were TOO MANY white people and not enough Iranians, Palestinians, and Muslims. That should have sent a loud message to who is welcome at these 'camps.'
