  1. It's about minorities and marginalized groups whether that's race, orientation, or whatever as long as it's not straight and white.

    Rip Eric Carmen

I too read this as Eric Cartman. Too many cheesy poofs. Or Beefcake 4000.
  3. Why did they cheat? I mean, what made them "not good wives?" What does "not being a good wife" look like? I am being honest here, what constitutes not being a good wife?
  4. Yes, been with my hubs for 23 years this June, been together 25.
  5. I don't disagree with you, I've seen this happen as well. I'd like to think I am the nice girl, at least that's what I've been told over the years. There are a few people that I have gotten back in contact with from high school and they often tell me that I was the "Winnie Cooper" of the school, or of the group. The guys kind of knew I was the "get married and will stick around" type of girl. And I've heard this from more than one person. Despite what people here seem to think or label me as.
  6. Is it crime or is it to hire fewer people: https://abcnews.go.com/Business/fast-food-workers-california-earn-20-hour-workers/story?id=106097720#:~:text=In September%2C California Gov.,stands at %2416 an hour.
  7. Yeah, you don't have to be physically abusive to get tired of someone's cr@p. And if you've seen him be crass, then he was probably much worse to her behind closed doors.
  8. Do you know her side of the story or only his? Many women in this situation have to be driven pretty hard to give it all up via divorce, even if they get half of the stuff and the money. He sacrificed, but maybe she did too? Despite his story, courts always try and sway in the way that is best for the children in terms of visitation and custody. I understand your sympathy towards him and his situation, but I'd be cautious without hearing her side as well.

Oppenheimer - Latest Christopher Nolan Movie

I still haven't seen Barbie or Oppenheimer. I will likely watch Oppenheimer this weekend, as the whole WW2/nuclear race/all of that really kind of intrigues me and how it came about. Barbie, I will likely never see. I have no interest in it at all. Zero.

Geriatric Joe’s State of Union Address

It doesn't matter what I post, you'd think that I am an extreme righty anyways. I can tell you I am not for a number of reasons, it doesn't matter. @OldMaid doesn't need to give a ruling, it won't matter either.

Geriatric Joe’s State of Union Address

I only watched a few clips of it where he mispronounced Laken's name and then had to get in a comment about how he's "lost his own children." And then something about corporate greed. From what I've heard, it wasn't really a state of the union, or here are all the great things we've done. It was more of a campaign speech, vote for me because the other guy will "destroy democracy." Same old cr@p.

    Women’s History Month

Are we including all women? Even the ones with wieners? PSA for women's history month: if you have a wiener and you test positive for pregnancy, you're not *really* pregnant. You have testicular cancer. HTH.
  13. Why did 170 dems vote against the Laken Riley act to have ICE DETAIN immigrants who commit crimes. Dems don't even want them DETAINED. WHY? Someone please explain to me why they voted no to detaining criminals? Please. I am not being facetious. Please explain to me why you'd let someone like this OUT?

    This economy is so bad

The current CPI report also found: The cost of shelter rose 0.6% in January and was, again, a major contributor to the rise in CPI this month. The shelter index is up 6% from the same time a year ago. Lower gas prices contributed to a 0.5% decline in the energy index in January. Over the past year, the energy index decreased 4.6%. Food prices rose 0.4% between December and January. Prices for groceries (+0.4%) and restaurants (+0.5%) were both higher. Core CPI — that is, all items less food and energy — rose 0.4% over the last month and 3.9% over the past 12 months. So even though all items less food and energy have risen almost 4% over the past 12 months is a "good economy?" When people still cannot afford homes? Other expenses are increasing (insurance), etc? This is good?

This article disagrees with you: https://www.forbes.com/advisor/investing/current-inflation-rate/ And this one says housing will continue to be difficult into 2024 unless a few key things happen: https://www.forbes.com/advisor/mortgages/real-estate/housing-market-predictions/ And your car insurance is going to go up (because of theft, crime, vandalism claims): https://www.forbes.com/advisor/car-insurance/why-is-my-car-insurance-so-high/ From: https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/finance/what-is-cpi

    Steve Garvey

Okay, good for you then. I am not sure what you're looking for me to say here. I am glad that you're comfortable voting for him.
  19. The sad part is that these kids will just move through the public school system, likely never really learning anything. They barely speak English and teachers just move them onto the next grade. Becuase there is a serious lack of teachers; they don't get paid enough to deal with some of this. The teachers unions are owned by dem donors and voters, so it's just a vicious cycle that keeps repeating itself. They graduate with not really having learned anything, can't get jobs, live off of the govt. or get hired by Timschochet to scrub toilets and clean his hotels. Or, then end up cycling through the justice system, getting arrested let back out, arrested let back out...especially if they live in a sanctuary state/city, where you have laws like SB47 where they aren't even prosecuted anymore, even for violent crimes.

    Steve Garvey

Same. He looks smarmy. Well, we are a blue state anyways so I just assume they will win. Which is too bad, because Schiff has a pretty terrible voting record if people actually cared about policy and read stuff about him. But they don't. They just hear that the other guy voted for Trump and freak out.
  21. TheNewGirl

    Steve Garvey

The commercials they had against Garvey made me laugh. They were basically: "Garvey voted for Trump! TWICE!!!!" and "He's TOO conservative for CA." I was kind of like, "That's ALL you have?" Nothing about policies? Nothing about how he voted on SB47? Nothin'? Usually they give more detailed things on why the person would be bad to vote for....but that's all the commercials say.

    Is this the apocalypse? (facebook)

We lost power here in our neighborhood (10k people) around the same time FB/Meta-verse went down, it truly did feel like the apocalypse to a few people around here I guess.

    Is this the apocalypse? (facebook)

I am lost, what are you guys even talking about?
  25. Exactly. Removing candidates from a ballot to basically make it so there is only ONE option that the party has chosen is communism. How people are not seeing this is baffling. If Trump wins, they will refuse to certify his Presidency.
