I am so sorry Kilroy. I am turning 47 in a week or so, and I hear ya. Recently had a cousin take his life (he was mid 30s) and hearing that news broke my heart. We weren't super close over the years, but had recently reconnected and talked a lot about things we both loved; outdoors, hiking, karaoke. He was gone about a week or so later. Getting older sucks...but watching my parents age is hard too. We think we are getting older, but forget that they've been aging too.

I will always take aisle if I am by myself, but yes, Lurch gets the aisle. For obvious reasons.
-
This is me as well. Backpack and purse, both fit under the seat in front of me. I prefer the middle or the aisle. I always check a bag, only didn't check one time when it was literally an overnight trip and I didn't need much and that bag even fit under my seat. At any rate, I don't usually have issues checking in bags, or getting them from claim areas. Which brings up another peeve; standing RIGHT AT the baggage claim carousel and blocking everyone behind you. Especially if you have small kids. Back the fock up, wrangle your children, and wait for your bag a little back from the carousel. We are all waiting there, FFS.

Would it have made a difference if he said the Koran or the Satanic Bible? Or just that he has a set of rules and morals that he decides to live by in general? Pretty sure he can think for himself. Saying that he's a POS for using the Bible as his worldview, or stating what he believes kind of shows some intolerance.

Devil's Rejects was good, IMO.

I would pretty much agree with this break down, I too am a pretty big fan of 3. I know there is no MM, but there's just something about that one that gets me every year. I am more likely to watch 1 through 3 and stop. I think I've only seen the Busta Rhymes one once; that's the one with the kids in the house, watching on video, right? The most recent Halloween Ends wasn't terrible, good for a more recent movie. The old school originals are always the best tho.

Watching the last ep now, and OMG. I am glad to see that some of the people from the Making a Murderer show are being sued. Some of those officers lives were just ruined. Not to mention what people say about Teresa and her family being personally involved in "framing" Steven. It's horrible. He killed her. They purposely left things out of their story to make it look so much worse. DNA tests. Edited phone calls. UGH. I hate the fact that I thought he might be innocent and one point. And I hate that documentaries can be full of crap, there are some that I really like.

Kind of depends on how you define bullying, I suppose...but I am kind of referring to the old school type of bullying. Fights, really cruel name calling, hiding in the bathroom during lunch because someone wanted to beat you up, etc. I was bullied. I was on the "softer" side, frizzy/curly red hair, freckles, and not the most attractive young child. I remember being bullied by a neighbor. We had a pool and when we'd play Marco Polo, it was more "Marco!" "Fatso!" He was always a jerk, and IIRC he didn't really become much as he got older. He was also incredibly short. I remember his mom was around 4-foot something, dad was over 6 ft. His older sisters ended up tall, I would bet he made it to maybe 5'3" as an adult. Then I was bullied by a 6th grade girl when I was in 5th grade. We had a Junior Olympics competition; see how long you can jump rope, how far you can run, etc. The 6th grade girl won the jump rope competition the day before. She was one who'd bullied me before, made a lot of just really MEAN and cruel comments. She threatened to "kick my a$$" if I beat her at jump rope for the Junior Olympics. I went and beat her anyways while she watched; she didn't end up beating me up.

School district axes Halloween, bans costumes on basis of 'diversity, equity, and inclusion'

Remove caps, please. -
Of course. I am curious about the beating up type of stuff though. Was getting your a$$ kicked by your peers more common when we were younger? My kids NEVER came home from school telling me that so and so was going to beat them up the next day or anything like that.

You can't even have a "general" type of celebration; like "Spring Party" where kinds bring in snacks or whatever and they watch a movie. That's what I remember school "parties" being...or there were games we'd play, etc. You can't even do that. -

I they remove Halloween and any celebrations, then need to remove the rest. No holiday parties, no Valentine's Day, NOTHING for children. Let them celebrate on their own time. -
So this was during 2020 Seatlle BLM protests. The guy driving the white car was going the wrong way on the on ramp, went through an area that was blocked off for the protest. He was not impaired in anyway during the crash and actually asked if the pedestrians were okay (one died, the other had serious injuries). He was 27. Ironically, he was black. Black Lives Matter.

I'd go with Mike Honcho's big knob.

Yes, all men.

Not really, but my personalized plate is a spin off of my first name. So we usually refer to it as the "Sally*-Mobile." *Some names have been changed to protect the identity of some people

I love my Jeep. Just bought out my lease, so will see how long I keep it. 2020 Wrangler JL; 2 inch lift and 35" tires. She's fun, but not always practical.

Commitment Seeking Liberal: No Masculine Men In Dating Pool Who Aren’t Conservative
TheNewGirl replied to Blue Horseshoe's topic in The Geek Club
Yes and no Nothing wrong with women learning to be more independent and have boundaries, know that they can bring more than cleaning and childbirth to a relationship. Men kind of created the monster of the "perfect" woman being hot and taking care of them all the time. You can have that, just be prepared to pay for it one way or another. -
Commitment Seeking Liberal: No Masculine Men In Dating Pool Who Aren’t Conservative

No. I belong to one group called, "Girl, don't date him" or something similar. Women post pictures of men they "match" with and basically ask, "This is so and so. Any red flags or tea? Does he belong to anyone?" And these women chime in with that if they know him. There are men that pop up on there ALL the time. "Yes, I've been dating him for 4 months, where did you match?" Or, "I dated him over the summer, started out great, then he got a little weird/ghosted me (whatever)." There is more than one site like this on FB and sometimes women will say, "he just popped up on this other site on FB" It's kind of interesting really. Other than that, I don't belong to any online dating or dating-specific sites. I am not dating. I just joined to read some of the drama, really... I also belong to a VERY broad "GenX" group and they talk about dating a lot, along with a few groups that are about books. Every site turns to dating or the sexx at some point. But the views are almost always the same. Dating sucks ass.
