$677,000,000,000 Added To US National Debt in Three Months As BlackRock CEO Warns Situation ‘More Urgent Than I Can Ever Remember

Not sure specifically, but lots of countries have pretty cut and dry immigration laws. Like Germany. Have to have a job, know the language, live there 8 years, things like that. Be able to speak the language fluently. I know there is more to it, but so many countries have very specific rules if you want to be a citizen. It's not just a "Oh, sure, here's your court date and we're totally backlogged, but we will get back to you..." and who cares if you work, don't speak the language and kind of disappear off into society. MANY countries require that you have proof of a job to live there. I'd have to research about a specific country and get back to you. But yes...not any where in the US, or even Canada, IMO. -
I am possibly in the minority, but I am okay with this. I am also pro-choice and I am okay with "gender-affirming" care if it is not done on a child (if you're an adult and making this choice for yourself, mutilate all you want, pal). Want the ability to end your life yourself a little early? Fine by me.

$677,000,000,000 Added To US National Debt in Three Months As BlackRock CEO Warns Situation ‘More Urgent Than I Can Ever Remember

So, we have countries that no longer want to back us because they are building their own markets. Good for them, and it's something that WE should unfortunately be focusing more on, but instead dumping trillions into proxy wars and not closing our border and investing here at home. Our economy is garbage (yes, it is), no one can afford to buy a house and rents are just as bad. Groceries, gasoline, utilities are also getting more expensive. The second paragraph is also interesting because of the aging workforce. You have Boomers that are well into retirement, starting to die off and leave what they have to Get X kids (sometimes still taking SOME tax benefits, some not). You now have some Get X kids retiring as well. The problem (IMO) is coming with the younger work force who expect to make 6-figures immediately out of school and then have that increase quickly over time, getting their millions in bonuses, like they are their own little CEOs. If not, then they expect their $50/hour minimum wage jobs, but don't really understand that that means fewer jobs for them out there, OR it means higher prices. The debt will continue to rise, just so American can pay off what Biden is doing now, it will last decades unless and until someone buys America (if they already haven't). I find it incredibly sad. I am not an economist, but this is just my hot take on it all from is one article blurb. Other countries are watching us, fighting over abortion and which bathrooms and sports trans people should be allowed to use so their feelings don't get hurt, all the while everything else is falling into the proverbial toilet. Is it going to go to cr@p overnight? No, and it's not a catastrophe at this point, but I don't really see it getting exponentially better in the next 20 to 30 years. -
And it's all about milking as much $$ out of the "climate crisis" that we can. If it were TRULY a crisis (say...like a pandemic or something) where we needed to get things shut down/moving in a certain direction, the motivation is there...but why go faster when you can get a few trillion more out of the people and companies? Meh. We will get there when we get there, by the way, here's a paper straw for you, buy an electric car and we will worry about the power grid later.

Nah, we have social justice warrior white liberal women. They always make sure the right things are talked about on the news and shiiite. The voice for the ytpoe and all the other colors too. -
What One Book Have You Read The Most Times
TheNewGirl replied to BunnysBastatrds's topic in The Geek Club
I am kidding, that's one of the worst pieces of cr@p I've ever read in my entire life. Seriously, I've read "Outlander" a few times. Probably a few other smutty books you guys haven't ever heard of. -

50 Shades of Grey. -
You can ask me politely, maybe a nice little tap on the @$$ and I'll do just about anything on demand for you.

Something I recently learned about are WARN notices that companies need to file (federal act) when lay offs are done. However, many larger companies (includes nearly every industry - manufacturing, tech, banking, universities, etc) can circumvent filing how many they are laying off if they offer a paid period of time for "job seeking" before an employee is officially laid off. This can drastically skew numbers of how many people are actually laid off or without a job. So, I am not sure I trust these numbers that are coming out, and I am not surprised that they are constantly recalculated.

Another example of why politicians can't be trusted

Do we need more examples? Are there still people that actually trust them? -
Why are MAGAturds so whiny about wind energy?
TheNewGirl replied to Pimpadeaux's topic in The Geek Club
since I'm usually lumped in with MAGA people here, I've never whined about wind energy. In fact, when we drive through the wind "farms" around here I often wonder why we don't use it more. -
An inmate at a woman's prison ended up pregnant from being raped. It's actually not funny. Passing out condoms isn't going to help.

Honestly, in my area, it's the Biden/Harris signs and stickers I see more than anything Trump. If you go out into the more rural areas, you'll see more of the "State of Jefferson" or whatever the people of Nor Cal want to create, and even then the Trump stuff is few and far between. I was actually very surprised when Trump won in 2016, I was completely expecting a Hillary landslide simply because of the amount of Hillary support I saw around where I live. It was incredibly vocal and emotional, not much about Trump here. Face to face talk? Meh. Only with a few close friends. I fake it with my one liberal friend. Mostly because I've known her for a long time and if she really knew how I felt she'd probably be the one to stop being my friend and we've known each other since we were 9. So, I don't talk much politics with her, and when she pulls her "down with capitalism" I raise my fist in agreement! Down with the patriarchy! BOO! Men suck! RAH! That's kind of why I feel the way I do about dating.
-
Probably not, she's not my type for a girl.
-
She basically has nice booobs. She doesn't really have a phenomenal face in my opinion, there are much more attractive younger actresses out there right now. In fact, if she had a smaller rack, I doubt many of you would be this ga ga over her honestly. She's not ugly, but I agree with those that say her body is hot, face is meh.
-
I don't remember talking politics either, even with my husband. We just didn't. I knew my parents views, and I knew HIS parents views (mainly because they had a giant BUSH/GORE poster in their garage), but I didn't dwell on it. I think that's why if I dated today it wouldn't matter much either, unless, like you said they were extreme on either side. Stuff like that isn't a deal breaker for me. I am sure for some once they found out how *I* vote, they'd be done with me.
-
Well, women SAY they don't want alpha either. They don't want the alpha males because toxic masculinity and bro dudes flexing all over the place. But you read those women's romance and smut books that women are all obsessed with right now? Nothing BUT alpha males all over the place. So, IMO, women out loud won't admit that they still want the alpha male. But they do. They'll read about the cop or the fireman bending them over or whatever, but they see the cop on the dating site and he's an immediate red flag. Unfortunately, they want him to make 6 to 7 figures and buy her a bunch of shiite too while she does nothing, so there's that. I am happy to admit that I still like the alpha male. Unfortunately, at my age he wants the younger girl who twirls her hair and poses on OnlyFans.
-
Based on what I see out there NOW, dating focking sucks. It's horrid. Both women and men are terrible.
-
I haven't dated in nearly 25 years, but I am friends with both liberal and conservative men, and I am more attracted to the conservative ones. So, just based on that at this point, it's likely I won't date a liberal man in the future either. It's not always obvious, and if I like them for other reasons it's not a deal breaker on my end. I imagine though if we started talking about politics, it would be one for him.
-
There was massive, massive fraud in the State of CA for this. HUGE. I have personal knowledge of this from a few different angles. It's ALL being pushed under the rug, no one wants to talk about it. BILLIONS of our dollars. POOF! Gone.

Dylan Mulvaney is mocking women, is not an example of women.
TheNewGirl replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
Yeah. Trans people like Dylan think wearing a dress and makeup make you a woman. That all we do is shop, take meds, go on a walk of shame, etc. He's mocking women and he's disgusting. I've met actual transsexuals in real life and they hate people like him. He's a joke.
